DESCRIPTION
Library Monkey is the ultimate tool for cataloging, managing and processing your audio assets. Advanced database structure, fast searching, and full conversion options are just some of the many powerful features contained in Library Monkey.

Take your SFX, Music, and other CD libraries and rip them to a supported file format. Once completed you will have access to all of the content you used to spend countless hours searching for and listening to on CD. Once you have imported your assets, you can organize them according to your needs and working style. User defined sets allow quick access to your favorite files, project references or other user defined categories. Do you keep a talent database? Use sets to organize by name, style, or any other category for instant access to all of your assets. The options are endless.

Have multiple users? No problem. Just export your database and import them to each station and everyone has instant access to your sound library. In addition, we have integrated the powerful drag-n-drop conversion features of Sound Grinder into Library Monkey. This provides you the ability to perform immediate conversion without the need to import your files. Library Monkey also supports output to all codecs under Quicktime and WAV, including IMA, and Sound Designer II Dual-mono files.

These are just a few of the many powerful features offered in Library Monkey. Download the 15 day full-featured demo and see the powerful features that are offerred in Library Monkey.

ROBERTCOOGAN  I didn't need anything like this until a few weeks ago...now it's indispensable. GUI needs some cleaning up however - it's a bit like staring at a stereo with too many buttons - but on the whole very useful.

JH FROM NY  This is an incredible app for pro Sound Designers.

Not only manages complex sound effects libraries, but also reads simple sample CD's, and converts to a large variety of sound formats like .wav, aif, sd2, etc., and it does it cleaner and quicker than any conversion app out there.

Searching and catloguing is fast and easy - works just like a web-browser. Too many results? Refine it.

LibraryMonkey ($400) blows away Barbabatch ($400), Audiofinder ($50), and SoundConverter ($15) and they are only converters and not library managers.

Closest competitor would be SoundMiner ($400) but a lot more intuitive and doesn't require a dongle.

For the money-shy, they also have a nice converter called SoundGrinder ($40) and they sent just me an email about new additions and formats for SoundGrinder so their customer service and updates seem quite attentive.

The only con is that the price is a bit steep but considering if you're using this app in tandem with ProTools, it's less than a single PT plug-in.

Pros? Rock solid, intuitive, clean conversions from 8-32 bits/8k-192k, and really fast!

    Really nice stuff!
