DESCRIPTION
eBaytoiCal is an AppleScript that parses the frontmost document in Safari. If it is an eBay auction, it tries to create an iCal calendar entry on the end date of that auction and sets a reminder 15 minutes before. The name of the event will be the article name, the URL will be the page of the article (i.e., the page you are currently viewing).
WHAT'S NEW
Version 3.0.2:
  • Now supports most eBay sites: United States, Germany, Austria, Hong Kong, India, Australia, Singapore, Belgium, Canada, The Netherlands, UK, Spain and France.
  • Adds URL also to notes field (for Nokia users).
  • Supports affiliate links.
  • Fixes a problem with date parsing that prevented some auctions to be entered correctly in iCal
REQUIREMENTS
Mac OS X 10.3 or later, iCal 1.5.2 or later.

****.

JAZZIZM  First I tried to edit the script to use Camino as my browser as eBay.de doesn't play nice with Safari (multiple re-logins required). So I changed all three appearances of "Safari" to "Camino" but that didn't work. This should be user-selectable. I changed it back and the script does work as advertised. Very handy! (10.4.10, Safari 3 beta)  (Version 1.9.2)

PROFINITE  It does not even launch under 10.4.10.

An attempt to launch from within ScriptEditor results in an error as well.

Simply, it does not work at all :-(  (Version 1.8)

ANONYMOUS  1.6.1 and 1.7 dont support BST properly. The function is in the script, but it doesnt find the time zone - stating

"unrecognizable or uninterpretable eBay time zone".

Shame.. worked wonderfully when it was GMT. Still.. I'll be able to use it again from October!  (Version 1.6.1)
