NicePlayer aims to be a multi-engine player designed for playing movies nicely for a person who likes to watch or present movies on their computer (such as the casual viewer or the video artist). This program features full screen or borderless floating windows, convenient controls for scrubbing or queuing movies, and on the fly playlist creation.
SMIBBITY This is still a better player than QuickTime. Can resize far smaller than quicktime is capable of, control layout is better, and the square edges feel more complete. I use QuickTime to convert things, course, but ALL video types get changed to open with NicePlayer for me. (Version 0.96.2)
FORAGING FERRET A very nice media player when paired with Perian much more stable than VLC, I've found. However, I would love to see a "get info" window/inspector giving detailed technical information about the file (a/v tracks, bit rate, fps, codec, etc).
With that little feature and improved playlists I would get rid of VLC altogether.
HIHAGEN Very cool player for presenting multiple videos on multiple displays. Very smooth playback even with 4-5 videos. I am looking forward to follow the development on this. A full customizable keyboard short cut for multiple videos/playlist would have been nice. (eksemple; PLAY Video No. 1 with "1+P", STOP video No. 2 with "2+H" etc ... ) (Version 0.96.2)
MACUPDATE ADMIN This should have been posted as a comment and not as a review. It is not fair to give it a one-star rating if you can't even use it, and you should notify the developer of your problem. (Version 0.96.2)

TESLANAUT Holy crap, Quicklook for MKV? I just tried it. You guys are doin really well. Keep it up! (Version 0.96.2)
LEVIXX Great Player, been using it for a while now.
But, when I have Niceplayer in full screen on my native monitor, while using another display for other endeavors, the controls do not pop up on the bottom on the screen. If I go to half screen on the native display, or even full on the secondary display, all is well.
The last version did not have this problem. (Version 0.96.1)
JBTULE you should check and see if you are still having these problems with version 0.96.2, if you are please post this problem to the issue tracker (http://code.google.com/p/niceplayer/issues/list) where it can be track and I correspond with you with possible fixes in the preview builds we are now doing between general releases. (Version 0.96.2)
