ANONYMOUS Who's going to use a Mac program for tuning a guitar?! I don't care how much it costs, it's overpriced - unless you're in the habit of taking a laptop to a gig, this is practically useless. If you're jamming to iTunes, then the only way to ensure you're in tune is to tune to the song. If you want to make sure your guitar is at concert pitch, then use a tuning fork. Electronic tuners make lazy musicians! Your fancypants program ain't gonna save you when you collide with a bass player... One of the most hilarious sights (and sounds) is the guitarist who doesn't even know he's out of tune! And still he goes on! Squealing like a stuck pig. Then someone tells him - and he goes running for his tuner. Fifteen minutes later, we're rolling again! What a star! What a show! Perfect pitch isn't necessary to tune properly. Features: it gets in the way of learning your instrument. Ease of use: What could be easier than listening and twisting a machine head? Value: A gadget to do something anyone can do for free. Stability: Whoops! Powerbook goes stagediving again! What a joke! (Version 1.0.4) |
