CHRISCHRAM  Since this is the only product of its type that still works (albeit ver-r-ry slowly) on a PPC, I can see some value there. I myself am sticking with VirtualBox.

PEDRO FARDILHA  If speed it's not your major concern ;) try the Q emulator.

Pretty damn good and works fine (as an emulator app, not a virtualization one) on PPC platform.

JONVDVEEN  I purchased this piece of software, and unfortunately, those dollars that I spend were wasted. One thing that bothered me considerably was the fact that this program is essentially a compilation of freeware products (e.g., Qemu). One might assume that this would mean that this product brings together the best of both worlds, but one's assumptions would be wrong. I eventually ended up using an unstable release of Qemu which has served me very well (and is considerably cheaper at $0!). The documentation on this program is also poor. There directions are confusing and in some cases, circular. I do not recommend anyone purchasing this product until it has undergone some major changes. Take at Qemu for Mac and I think that you will be quite impressed!

TOKYO SENBEI  Consumers who have purchased this product based upon the somewhat questionable marketing tactics ought to consider filing a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. The more complaints they receive, the higher likelihood they will investigate. This company has a history of very questionable advertising practices which are easily documented on the web (just check Google).

BDKENNEDY1  Don't bother with the garbage developer. I bought version 1.0 for my G5. I followed the instructions to the letter and was never able to get the program running. I never received replies to my e-mails, never received a refund and never received the free upgrade to version 1.2 that was advertised on the web site.

HENDRIK HERO HAMLET WOUTERS  Bochs is extremely slow. These folks are providing an UI for money, but that does not make bochs useable.

A faster open source emulator is QEMU, and a great looking and free GUI around that is Q. (See http://kberg.ch/q/)

MATTHEW  Do not attempt to order this. I was charged 2x for the order and the name/password needed to access download were sent blank on the receipt so there was no way to get the order. I have emailed each and every email address on the sight for help and received no response. No answer on any of the phone numbers and the fax number is wrong. Out $50.00 with no product to show for it.

ANONYMOUS  It's sooo slooow... I fell asleep in front of my Mac. Still have keyboard marks on my face.

Funny: I cannot spot a real difference to Bochs...

ANONYMOUS  Looks like someone is trying to make a quick buck by repackaging Bochs, get the original FREE app from http://bochs.sourceforge.net/

Have a nice day

ED  Looking for an alternative to VPC after it was sucked-up by Microsoft, I was excited to buy v. 1.0 several months ago. It took over-night, but I was able to get WinXP installed. However, the system was sooooo slow that it was essentially unusable. Connectix, wherefore art thou?!!

SHAKESPEARE  Um, this is a bit off topic, but "wherefor art thou" means "Why are you", not "Where are you"...

DP-G4-450GUY  Ha ha ha!

Great reply!

But to get to the answer the original poster was asking for - MS bought Connectix years ago - that's why VPC now has "made in Richmond" on the box.
