EDITOR NOTES
This is not the official Macintosh BitTorrent client. You can get the official Macintosh client here.
DESCRIPTION
Tomato Torrent... The main goal of this project was to separate the BitTorrent code from the Macintosh code, so that either can be updated without having to modify the other. I got 80% of the download window's current functionality implemented within 3 days of starting the project. Then I decided to finish just a bit more, and the project just kept getting bigger and bigger.

Features include:

  • Built on BitTorrent 4.2.0
  • Remembers recent downloads and where you’ve saved them to, making resumes quick and easy
  • Shows detailed download statistics
  • Shows detailed information about torrent files
  • User interface for torrent generation allows you to specify torrent comments
  • User interface for starting a torrent tracker on your Mac
  • Most BitTorrent options are fully customizable
  • Supports Unicode torrents
WHAT'S NEW
Version 1.5.1 adds Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard support.
REQUIREMENTS

MACBEAN1  I can't remove this program from my iMac (running leopard) it says it is a disk and that it is running when it certainly is not in use. Please help, I want to remove it. I also cannot remove the icon from my dock. Help!  (Version 1.5.1)

JOHNSOTM  I'm new to this whole torrent deal but everytime i try to download a new torrent it says there's a trouble connecting or it can't find a server or something to that extent. I've tried downloading from numerous people and all sorts of different files. I'm thinking that even though the FAQ says it's not my problem, it probably is.  (Version 1.5.1)

GSLIDE06  Just installed 1.5 version supporting OS X 10.3.9 and I had some trouble. Basically a movie or tv torrent downloads through Tomato with no issue and the length of the download is reflected.

Then when I try to play the avi through a Media Player(Quicktime) or burn it to DVD a black/blank screen appears. No images or volume. This also happened when I used the Azureus client.

Any help is tremendously appreciated!!  (Version 1.5)
