  • Your Composing Assistant - Arrange chord progressions right in the application to try out new sounds or use it to create accompanyment.
  • Have iPod, Will Travel - Chord dictionary and saved progressions can be exported to your iPod.
  • Works with MIDI keyboards - Use a MIDI keyboard peripheral to find chords that work with your melodies.
  • Print and go - Print out progressions for easy learning when you're away from the computer.
  • Reverse Lookup - Punch in the keys, find out the chord.
  • Right on time - Convenient metronome and tempo-finder tools built-in.

ARCHIETHEARCHIVER  I downloaded this app and, although it says it is version 4.2, the app is actually version 4.1.

KEVIN OLSON  I enjoy this app because it does just what it says, very easily. I can hear the chord, see it diagrammed on the keyboard, assemble it into a progression, then export that out as a midi file. It works very well, and the developer is very responsive. Great learning tool, fun to just play around with, too.

ATA  When a developer listens to the feature requests of its users, then that's a developer worth supporting. Thank you so much for the MIDI export of chords. You have made my day!

ED.PERRY  I have used SimpleChord for a year now and find it to be really valuable as a sketch tool to rough out ideas to be fully developed later in Logic Pro. First, it's rock solid; it's never crashed on me. With low machine overhead, it runs on my fairly old portable, so i can work anywhere. The user interface is simple letting me get a lot of work done quickly on developing chord progressions. I can play with some ideas, get a good idea of what I want, then go to Logic Pro to flesh out the songs.

RONWALK  What a wonderful little program; elegant, useful. It's meant to do just what it's meant to do. In addition to it's technical workings, it's also beautifully designed. It's obvious that somebody's paying attention with a high level of consciousness. I'm really pleased.

KGPAT  I like the software and found myself using it, so I purchased a registration on March 10th. I waited and waited for the code to be sent, then I figured it's the weekend so I'll give it a couple of days. Now it's March 15 and I still don't have my code. I have emailed the developer twice with no response. Maybe thru MacUpdate I can get a response.

    NUTTDAN  Hi Kevin,

I recieved your registration, and several times I tried to email it to you, and it bounced, so I had no way of contacting you. You wrote in from another address, so I sent off an appology and a registration there, thinking all was well. Evidently it wasn't recieved -- some block or filter somewhere. So now I'm emailing you from every address I can find.

Please contact me by some means if you still haven't gotten it. If there's an AIM screenname or phone number I can contact you at, that works too.

By god, there's *gotta* be some way to get this guy his serial :-).
