DESCRIPTION
PDF Manipulator allows you to exchange data between FileMaker Pro and Adobe Acrobat PDF files that have embedded fields. You first create a PDF file with fields (requires full version of Adobe Acrobat) then within a script calling the PDF Manipulator Plug-in, you can move data back and forth between FileMaker and the PDF file. The plug-in allows you to easily create a customized PDF for each record in your database based off of a single PDF file you use as a template. Another feature included in the plug-in allows you to extract field data from the completed PDF and insert it back into FileMaker. All of this is possible without using Adobe FDF files or other complex data exchange methods.

ZINCB  Forgot to add that the license is for one _machine_, not one user, so if you have a desktop PC at work and a laptop at home & telecommute some days of the week, you will need two copies.

ZINCB  Here are a few items that I learned the hard way:

    1. It is not clearly stated on their website, but you will need a full copy of Adobe Acrobat Standard or Professional, even if you only want to scrape data off of a PDF form. Acrobat Reader is not sufficient. The requirements state that you will need a full copy of Acrobat to _create_ a PDF form, but not that you will need a full copy if you already have a form and just want to import its data into a Filemaker database.

    2. You better be very familiar with scripting with extensions. This is not a hand-holding user-friendly whiz-bang GUI plug-in. Happily, the scripts in the demo file are not locked and will help you figure this plug-in out waymore better than the included sparse, no-examples, (PDF) user manual.

Still waiting for my full copy of Acrobat to arrive, so can't tell you how well it works with pulling dates out of digital signatures, etc...
