DESCRIPTION
Turn Clip is an iMovie plug-in that rotates your clip exactly 90, 180 or 270 degrees. Since DV clips are not square, parts of the clip will be lost when rotating 90 or 270 degrees, and the clip will show bands of a (user defined) color left and right of the formerly narrow parts.

FOOZMAN  Turn Clip really needs the (not-free) accompanying aspect ratio

    http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/14204

Unfortunately, the documentation could be more useful. To avoid losing parts off the top and bottom, and to get the right aspect ratio, I suggest the following procedure. Note, I have used this on movies taken with a Canon SD10.

    1. First use aspect ratio to reduce the clip in the horizontal direction (the final height). I found about 25% manual reductio to work with the Canon SD10. This results in a horizontally squashed image. The second step compenstates for this squashiness.

    2. Use turn clip to turn the movie.

Following this procedure will allow you to rotate movies, maintain an approximate aspect ratio and not lose any material off the top and bottom.

Ideally, I think that cf/x should make a one stop solution where you can enter the presets for your equipment, but for my amateur needs, the above procedure is fairly efficient.

IDRIS  VERY useful tool - BUT: it turns all the clip nearly white! I don´t find no way to just turn and don´t change any colors... so I´m looking for any alternatives.

This should not happen. The plug-in does not change any color - unless, of course, you are using transparency.

Could you be more specific, or perhaps contact our support (bugs@imovieplugins.com) with examples so we can look into this?
