MACTHEWEB  I had the same problems with this for complex documents and had it occasionally would not export. Sorry folks, not ready for prime time.

If you're willing to spend this kind of money try ReadIRIS Pro. It is an OCR program for scanning text but also converts PDFs to RTF or plain text. It is very accurate, if not fast.

Download the demo, give your email address and wait for their special promo pricing before you buy. You might save $50.

If you just want the text out of a PDF for reading on a Palm, try the free PDF2RTFService from . Sorry, no tables or images.

Highlight the text, choose Services from the Application Menu and select PDF2RTF. Save the resulting file and you're ready to convert it to a pdb.  (Version 2.1)

ANONYMOUS  v2.1 is not good at converting simple tables or spreadsheets. In fact, I resorted to manually re-entering the values and formatting as it was so jumbled.   (Version 2.1)

    ANONYMOUS  Utter Crap!

Saw this at the SF MacWorld Convention (2005). Spoke with the developers and they seemed to make it work on the showroom floor. Was about to buy but hesitated due to the price (I only needed to convert 5 documents at the time).

I now have several dozen e-books in pdf format that I'd like to convert to html so i can process them in iSilo for reading on my palm. Downloaded this software (despite the warnings in the reviews) to try it out.

I WAS NOT ABLE TO CONVERT ANY OF MY PDF FILES.

I tried all the export formats possible. I even would have settled for a plain text conversion but no such luck. A dialog box would say i got a successful conversion and I would get a new document but on opening the document, it would be empty.

I've been looking for an affordable pdf -> rtf/html application for a long time. It seems there is none out there. I'd even "shudder" use a windows app if there was one but I don't know of any.....  (Version 2.1)
