DESCRIPTION
Mail.appetizer displays a transparent notification on top of your screen when new messages arrive. It shows only sender, subject and the first plain-text lines of the message, so you can determine whether the message requires your immediate attention. The prominence of the notification can be defined by adjusting transparency and display time.

Mail.appetizer is a plug-in for Apple's Mail and integrates seamlessly. It is dynamically loaded when launching Mail and you can change settings from within Mail's preferences.

Note that Mail.appetizer uses - as all Mail plug-ins do - several of Mail's private internal methods. Use it at your own risk.

    ONEBLESSEDGUY  I got an email this morning telling me this plug-in was now updated! All I have to say is THANKS!!!!! This is THE best notifier out there for Mail.app. If you haven't donated, you should. It's that good! I thought it was dead but it lives!

    My Leopard update is complete! This was the one add-on to my everyday work that was sorely missing!

    MSWFUJOWDFFYC  Currently, this is the only mail notifier app for OS X mail that boasts this many features and has such an efficient UI. For those of us who use Apple Mail as our central means of e-mail communication, the Leopard release of this app is a godsend. Please donate and help further development of this app!

    So far, I have not encountered any problems with this beta release. I will be submitting bugs that I find to the developer if/as they appear.
