DESCRIPTION

Stock Investment Guide (SIG) performs fundamental stock analysis, using the methods used by stock clubs. SIG generates buy, hold, and sell levels for the stock being analyzed. SIG can read and write standard .ssg file formats, create semi-logarithmic graphs of stock data, and perform a complete stock investment guide.

Users can input stock data by hand, or download thousands of .ssg data files from the national association for investments clubs with their online Stock Data Service. Users can also trade .ssg files with fellow club members, even if other members use Windows. Also include Portfolio Analysis and Stock Comparison applications.

WHAT'S NEW
Version 3.0.8:
  • Version 3.0.8 adds additional columns to the Stock Library that allow users to sort based on Analysts' Consensus Estimates (ACE) growth rates or users' analysis growth rates.
  • Added a feature that allows users to store the analysis database in a non-default location. This allows users to open databases from friends, or to use an automatic online backup location to backup or share databases.
  • Minor bug corrections include a fix for international date formats, and an issue with data retrieval for users of the free data option.

    CHARLES TETON  >>Adds the capability of projecting future Earnings Per Share from the historical trend line, which now provide three user choices for the projection method>> Pity this update had not been released a few months ago, maybe it would have seen impending doom. :-)

    ANONYMOUS  Bravo! While I am not yet ready to part with my heavily funded combination of Virtual PC and the rickety NAIC Stock Analyst, there has been impressive progress in this OS X app. I look forward to moving over to it if it someday features PERT analysis/graphing and overall portfolio management. In other words, when you can replace NAIC Stock Analyst, my money is yours.

    P.S. Ironic that this software shows that Apple has always been a crappy stock.

    NAIC goal: Long-term sales growth of 15% or more.

    Hallelujah! As a NAIC member, I have been dealing with Virtual PC and their (NAIC's) antiquated software. I will put this program through its paces, and leave a review. I can say, however, that this program is a much needed addition to the personal finance armamentarium of mac users!
