FABRO Why the app is no longer available for download, neither from the developer's web site? I needed it for a reinstall of my Mac (I paid for it) but I can't find it. (Version 1.1.6)

NADEEMF Links to download and see more info are dead; I'll give xCHM a try instead. (Version 1.1.6)

ANONYMOUS I agree that Chmox has almost the same amount of features as that of CHM Viewer. The one feature/bug where they differ is CHM Viewer's bug fix: -fixed problems rendering images with illegal characters in their file names I have a quite a few ebooks that have images that fail to render, under Chmox, that display fine under the newest CHM Viewer. That is worth the $5 to me until the next version of Chmox that hopefully fixes this. (Version 1.1.6)

MR. X As others have said, chmox does the exact same thing... for free. I wouldn't mind paying the $5 for extra feature like a good search engine, custom bookmarks, window size and position sticking on a per book basis, etc... but right now this app offers absolutely nothing more than the free alternative. ANONYMOUS I've found this opens more files and displays them much better then the freebie tools out there. Heck, it's only five bucks. (Version 1.1.6)

ANONYMOUS I cannot find any difference in function or feature between the 2, but one is free... (Version 1.1.6)

KIM HOLBURN Exactly what is a CHM file anyway, and why would I need a viewer? (Version 1.1.6)

ANONYMOUS If you don't know, then why are you even reading this page, let alone posting here? CHM is compiled HTML. Basically, it is a proprietary Microsoft eBook format. The CHM book I found is an electronic version of a programming book that I purchased, which i found on the CD in the back of the book. (Version 1.1.6)

NCARER This is a nice little program which does what it says it does. It doesn't have any bells and whistles, but the basic features work just fine. I would agree that the shareware nag dialog appears far too frequently, though. While waiting for my registration code to be sent, I had to click the dialog away a very large number of times! ANONYMOUS I'm sure this application must have some useful purpose, unfortunately I couldn't find out what that was, because it prompted me to register 5000 times in the first three minutes. I was so busy telling it not right now, that I didn't have time to try it out on any .chm files. Secure delete for this one. (Version 1.1.5)

COOLRAIN This is really cool app. But it's pity that it supports Chinese poorly, many chm files in Chinese just can not be opened by chm viewer. (Version 1.1.5)
