JBuddy Messenger... If you need to communicate with contacts on several public IM channels simultaneously and don't want to clutter your desktop with multiple IM clients then JBuddy Messenger is worth a try. Currently it supports AIM, MSN, ICQ, Yahoo and JBuddy protocol (connecting to Zion's JBuddy Message Server) IM services on Windows 98, NT, 2000, XP, Mac OSX, Linux, Solaris and other J2SE 1.3+ platforms. It is a fully funcational application demo for non-commercial use and ready to be customized with other IM protocols and/or branded for your commercial needs.
This release supports more operating systems and versions including Mac OS X Snow Leopard and the new Windows 7 64-bit.
Many bugs have finally been fixed as well. Based on bug reports and some feedback since the v3.0 release, we have decided Microsoft Live Communications Server 2003, 2005 (LCS) and Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 (OCS) support within the JBuddy family of products including JBuddy Messenger is still at BETA level. LCS and OCS have particularly complex deployment scenarios in the enterprise and only with the help of users can we reach a mature implementation. We're getting closer!
ANONYMOUS Trash the preferences of the program found in Library > Preferences
or better yet, search all 'JBuddy" files and just trash all of those (Version 1.1.0412)

ANONYMOUS The preferences are currently stored inside ~/.zionsoftware/jsuperchat/jsuperchat.prefs
You can either delete the whole file and restart which will also blow away your locally saved account information - or try to edit the file with a plain text editor and remove the LnfOptions section or replace with the information below to restore to default of using Aqua:
LnfOptions {
antialiased true
className apple.laf.AquaLookAndFeel
decorateFrames true
} (Version 1.1.0412)

GOSTCODER Takes forever to start up, horrible interface. Just like all other Java applications. At least it didn't crash. Only masochistic people would like this application. (Version 0.8.0217)
ARGOTNAUT Nice, simple program that does what it's supposed to. No fancy extras, but then again, it's the only multi-IM client that has worked properly for me. (Version 0.7.1235)
ANONYMOUS That's exactly what I need! A simple client that just works.. and this one does the trick! (Version 0.7.1235)

GARY Awesome!! The problem with most IM clients is that they try to do too much. JBuddy handles the 4 major chat protocols ad does it well. And since it's a Java-based application it should be able to work on any platform. As far as I'm concerned it's the best multi-chat app out there. (Version 0.7.1232)
