EDITOR NOTES
This product is discontinued.
After much discussion, The Little App Factory have decided to discontinue development of Netflix Freak. We will make every effort to continue to support the product as long as we feasibly can. Keeping up with changes on Netflix's website without direct access to their data has proven to consume too many resources relative to our sales, and in some cases, we have been unable to keep existing functionality working properly. Also, Netflix has made significant changes to their site (such as drag-and-drop rearrange in the queue) that have made our product less compelling.
For those that have lost or need a serial number, you are free to use: TLAFNFX000-2984-M577-8C8N-A1D7-CX0V
If you would like a refund for your purchase or are interested in taking over development of the product, please contact us.

GEOPICK I think NetFlix should make an effort to support third party developers who want to enable client access to their service. Freak was an early, useful tool. It would be great to see something like this for the iPhone, if it doesn't already exist. (Version 2.6.3)

ADONSA It's commendable that refunds are being offered. Letting a product go orphan without a plan to convey the source code and further development, to another developer, is not. The netflix website is a pain to use, and Netflix Freak serves an important purpose. The Netflix Freak developer should have arranged a successor developer (even Netflix) PRIOR to making it go orphan; or the source code should be provided to a responsible developer in the Open Source community. Abandoning a software is serious. Abandoning software reflects negatively upon the entire shareware and commercial developer community. The impact of software abandonment upon users is very significant and conveys distrust. The greatest word processor for any microcomputer [in its time] was Fullwrite, orphoned by Borland, International after they bought it from Ashton Tate. Heroic efforts on the part of buyers, to persuade Phillipe Kahn to revive it, fell on deaf ears. Another was Claris Emailer, in its time, it was the greatest email software in existance. Apple ordered the product abandoned, and ignored the efforts of the vast "Save Emailer" campaign. -- Talk to the Netflix staff, ask them to revive and continue upgrades to Netflix Freak. -- Talk to certified Apple Developers, ask the Apple staff to help identify a developer that can give the product a future. -- Talk to open source developers. -- Recognize, that the Netflix web page sux when it comes to managing the queue list. -- If necessary, release the source code into the public domain. -- You have a good product, do the right thing toward getting it a future. IGAUCHO Good thing I stopped using this app. I didn't even realize that it had been discontinued! It would have been nice if they had emailed paying customers to let them know about this. (Version 2.6.3)

IGAUCHO I've tried using the last couple versions and after the initial installation they work fine, but afterwards they crash constantly when the application tries to login my account. I've tried to completely remove and reinstall Netflix Freak, but I experience the same behavior. (Version 2.6.3)

FFASS Netflix's queue now has drag and drop so this app no longer offers distinguishing features. (Version 2.5.3)

DANCINGSEA I really wanted to like this app and buy it for the sake of supporting the Mac community, but in the end, I just couldn't get into it. For me, managing my que is not a big deal. Browse for movies, add them to the que, rearrange the que every once in awhile. I don't need any management abilities beyond those basics. In that light, the Net Flix website is sufficient. Imho, on the browsing and searching for movies front (most important to me), NetFlix.com is vastly superior to this application. At NetFlix.com I prefer the little mini blurbs that appear one you rollover the movie title. I also like the way NetFlix.com displays the movie description, user reviews, and various critic reviews all on the same page. It's simply more dynamic, and in my experience, loads faster than NetFlix Freak. Yes, NetFlix Freak allows easy connections to Rotten Tomatoes, but that's about the only advantage, for my type of usage, that I could find. Simply not worth $15, imho. Perhaps this app would make sense if I had a household with multiple users and the need to juggle those accounts. YMMV, give it a try, you may like it. But until NetFlix Freak provides me with a noticeably better browsing experience than NetFlix.com, I'll have to pass. (Version 2.2)

BRYAN Netflix freak is a must have for any Mac user with a Netflix account! It allows you to not only see your queue but also movies out, a complete history, and it gives you the ability to search for movies right from the application. Probably the nicest features that aren't available from the web are the drag and drop functionality for not only reordering your queue but also for moving movies between different household member's queues. Also it's nice to be able switch between profiles simply without the need for inputting passwords every time. (Version 2.1.2)
