DESCRIPTION
Jaws PDF Creator provides an affordable and reliable means of creating PDF files from virtually any document in any application. Using Jaws PDF Creator, businesses are able to easily create electronic documents that can be shared across a wide range of hardware and software.

Jaws PDF Creator can be used in several modes. It is seen as a printer in the Windows or Macintosh Printing System allowing users to 'print' to a PDF file directly from any application and it also appears as an icon on the desktop allowing drag-and-drop conversion of any PostScript� or EPS file directly to PDF. For Windows users, a toolbar icon installs in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, allowing any business user to easily create PDF files. The toolbar icons can also be used to retain document structures such as bookmarks and hyperlinks from the original document.

Jaws PDF Creator offers full control over PDF configuration settings and allows users to pre-define PDF configuration settings which can be selected at the point of PDF generation.

PDF files generated by Jaws PDF Creator can subsequently be used with Jaws PDF Editor, Adobe� Acrobat� products, or any other third party PDF tools. Jaws PDF Creator produces PDF 1.3 or 1.4 files

ANONYMOUS  Does anyone know why I can't download this? I get a redirect to a page with a 1x1 white pixel.

END USER  This App is a good rival to Adobe Distiller. For those that cant afford the Adobe Distiller this is a good and useful tool. It gives you enough control over creating hi or low resolution PDF files.

DO NOT compare this to the in built OSX option as save as PDF, to be honest unless you are an amatuer user only that system option sucks! You have no control over quality and limited page options.

ANONYMOUS  A late answer to the poster below:

Jaws features many professional options that the in-built function doesn't have. AFAIK, Jaws is the only rival (less features but much cheaper) to Adobe Acrobat on OS X, because it produces top quality PDFs with at least the basic features.

OS X's own PDF creator might be enough for the occasional user, but it is not nearly enough for home users with ambitions, not to speak of semi-professionals or professionals. You can't even adjust the resolution and the compression delivers bad results (and most don't even find out about this option).

79$ is a fair price for this software if you compare it to the alternatives.

PKIULA  It is better than File --> Save as PDF in many ways. When I am in any non-Apple software, such as Firefox, then I do NOT have the save as PDF option. With this installed, I can print anything.
