RUMPLESTILTSKIN  Reatively clean interface but could use a bit of tightening up, consistency-wise.

Burns quickly. Love the way it manages to combines all file systems within HFS+. In other words: If I burn a VIDEO_TS folder to an HFS+ DVD, I automatically get UDF compliance (and my DVD player plays the disc). Very slick.

Includes the really neat ability to assign an icon to the disc and even add pictures (from your HD or via Google image search!) which it converts to icons automatically. Again, very slick.

Cost? Not much more than pocket change; well worth it. Using it on my Intel iMac and, yes, it's UB!

-M-  Does what it says on the tin! Burnz is an efficient and well-priced data burner that works with CDs and DVDs and burns in Mac and non-Mac readable formats.

Making back-ups is a breeze with this - I have a master back-up folder with aliases to the folders I want backed-up, such as my documents and photos. A quick drag-and-drop of this folder onto Burnz and it resolves the aliases and generates an up-to-date back-up every time. Nice. I have demoed much more expensive software that does not offer this excellent resolving of aliases feature.

JEFF  Great program. Does what it says for a low price!

It burns multiple copies of PC compatible CDs very quickly (only a few seconds before the drive begins burning), and it has an excellent user interface.

ANONYMOUS  Not bad. The inteface is simple looking and it seems to do what it says.

It may be the 'easiest possible data burning' when I only have one folder to burn to a cd, but I usualy am backing up several folders and files at a time. With burns I have to create a new folder somewhere and copy or make aliases of my files in that folder, then burn that folder with burns. But with applications like Toast or Discblaze, this process is much simpler and faster.

I think Ill stick with Toast and Discblaze for my cd mastering needs for now. But I'll keep an eye on this one as well.

ANONYMOUS  Wanted to burn a .toast image but it didn't worked. Tried to burn the same .toast image with hdiutil, it worked.

Don't bother even download this utility, it doesn't worth it.

Ya know, it _could_ be a problem in your rig and not in the program. Sorry you had trouble, 'cause you missed out on a wonderful app.

And no, I'm not a friend of the developer, just a very satisfied registered user who at one time DID have a problem using this app, because of a glitch in my own setup.

ANONYMOUS  A fine app, fits nicely in my arsenal of simple-but-effective tools. The deal-maker for me is its ability to resolve aliases; I create recurring burn configurations by collecting aliases of the folders I want archived/backed up into a folder that represents that disc's content. Since it's only aliases, it's not very big; I just drag it to Burnz, and away we go,...

I spent some time with the developer troubleshooting a problem that ultimately appears to be in my system and not in this program, but he was gracious and responsive in the effort.

All in all, well worth the price of admission.

TRACY VALLEAU  Works exactly as advertised. Very good software; fast burning time; CDs checked out fine on my test PC. Simple and easy to use. Recommended (& worth the cost).
