THUS.SPAKE.Z As far as I can determine, Volume Logic is no longer available. When Plantronics absorbed the company that developed V.L., Volume Logic was dropped. Dunno why. (Version 1.3.2L)

KJA03 Hey i'm new to the forum and after some help with getting Volume Logic to work. I bought it for Windows about 12 months ago and i've just purchased a brand new MacBook Pro. I LOVE this app and would LOVE even more to be able to use it on the Mac. I've downloaded Volume Logic 1.3.2L and installed it but when the screen comes up to click DEMO, BUY or ACTIVATE, none of the buttons work. They don't do anything when you click on them. I have an old serial number although it's for the Windows version but it won't accept it and i'm thinking thats because Plantronics dont even have a system to verify the number anymore. Can ANYONE help as to how I can get this plugin working on my system again? iTunes won't even run now unless I uninstall VL. Looking forward to anyone's help here. Kieron :) (Version 1.3.2L)

O5220803 BTW, go to: http://tangerinetoad.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html and scroll down to the eSellerate comment (about mid page) and see if that could be helpful. (Version 1.3.2L)

SHOPPING1 I totally agree with most other comments: Volume Logic is great. It actually does something good to your music instead of ruin it. After two years I'm still VERY MUCH hoping for an official rebirth. Unlike other plugins, Volume Logic is basically a 5 band compressor/limiter with auto gain control and an adjustable bass boost algorithm. For those that have paid for it two years ago and have gotten it to work on Leopard (like me after some serious Google effort), I'd recommend the 'Pop' preset with 75% drive and 25% bass boost. Although VL can not be fully manually tweaked (attack/release controls are missing), the ample amount of presets more than make up for that imho. There is no plugin that comes anywhere near the quality that VL delivers. Please, bring Volume Logic back to life!! I would easily shell out twice the money it cost originally. (Version 1.3.2L)

CHUCKBO The plugin is awesome. It stopped the clipping that I was getting from iTunes. The only problem is that even though I purchased it, the program won't accept my serial number, so I can't get out of demo mode. Plantronics doesn't even reply to my notes -- no way will I or my clients ever buy anything from Plantronics again. (Version 1.3.2L)

XENOPHILE Downloaded, installed, and rocked out. Checked out developer site to buy Volume Logic, only to find a message saying it is discontinued. (Version 1.3.2L)

JIMMYSMITS Installed 1.3.2L in iTunes 8.1 on 10.5.6 and VL fired right up. I couldn't click on any of the VL dialog buttons, but once I right-clicked on iTunes in the dock to quit, VL asked for my reg number. VL is STILL better than Hear Pro or iWow. I own all three and prefer VL. (Version 1.3.2L)

BARON83 I am running Leopard and VL 1.3.2. I use a set of Monsoon speakers with a subwoofer. I bought a copy of Hear and I agree with others that VL is much easier to use and results in a cleaner and easier to manage sound. Its availability in iTunes means I can quickly adjust the setting for any recording. Hear isn't the only one I've tried and I always come back to VL. (Version 1.3.2L)

DSHORE95 I was finally able to get support from the Canadian branch of Plantronics tech support team. I was finally able to remove this application from my computer and I am no longer plagued by the app popping up each time I launched iTunes. Here are the instructions that hopefull may help others remove this annoying situation. FYI: the instructions on their website never referred to a folder named HAL: Make sure the user is looking in the correct folder - that at the system level instead of the user level. In Finder ensure you navigate to /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/VolumeLogic.plugin by first clicking "Mac Hard Drive", instead of searching under the login name space. (It sounds like she is already looking in the right place and it isn't there, but it's best to check. These folders exist in two places on a Mac.) If there's no Volume Logic listed in the HAL folder, it could be that this user instead has the original broken VL installed. (I'm sure it's still available from a 3rd-party link somewhere.) I'd suggest asking her to try checking the /iTunes/iTunes Plug-ins/ folder for VolumeLogic and deleting it from there (as per the old iTunes uninstall instructions available from TAC.) The actual VL plugin on the Mac is named "volumelogic" followed by either ".app" or ".plugin". Searching for just volumelogic in Finder should hopefully find the file to delete. (Version 1.3.2L)

DSHORE95 DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT download this app, it is no longer functional in its Demo mode and is not available for sale. The most important detail is that Plantronics, the company who designed this software, does not support the product. Removal of this product was difficult and the toll free operators had no idea how to deal with my needs. I finally found someone in their Canadian 800 number who was able to respond with a fix. The Santa Cruz people had no clue. I suggest that MacUpdate remove access to this download as well (Version 1.3.2L)

O5220803 Sadly, Hear and iWow tend to over process, iTunes input, while VL remains totally clean! So YOU make the choice! (Version 1.3.2L)
