JERRY KRINOCK  I've used Cheetah3D for about 10 hours now and am particularly impressed that, even with the complex relationships that it must be maintaining between objects, 'Undo' has never given an unexpected result and the thing has never raised an exception or crashed. The design must be very well thought out.

CANTONESEBOY  Tried to download the demo but always unsuccessful.

The webpage tells me that "Access forbidden!

You don't have permission to access the requested object. It is either read-protected or not readable by the server.

If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster."

Not sure if it is because I am from South East Asia. Just hope the developer can open up access to everyone.

NOVOLUME  Last year I spent some time looking into 3D apps. I wanted something to get me into 3D. I looked at Strata, Cinema4D and a couple of others but to be honest the prices put me off. Somehow I stumbled across Cheetah3D, which seemed to tick all the boxes, it's mac, it's cheap and probably most importantly it does one hell of a job. A quick look in the gallery showed me what I wanted to see, I downloaded the demo and 20 minutes later I made the purchase. Since that day I've never looked back. Cheetah3D does everything I want it to do and then some. If you're looking for an excellent 3D package for Mac at a good price, stop looking, you've found it!

M-RICK  Look at AC3D, easier to use, cross-platform, fast, stable, more compatibility and really less expensive !

BJMONKEY  I don't quite see what you're getting at?

Silo has always been dedicated to all of it's user base, very quick to respond on their forums, if the other users don't get there first, and there's not been any money payed for any updates for mac users so far... The mac version's only recently fallen behind, and that's because they work on PC and they're wokring on a new major release that NO-ONE has paid for, and neither version, PC of mac, has been released in a later than beta version.

Don't slate a piece of software using lies guy :)

"LOS"   I love this piece of software! First of allits truelly Mac, it's very simple to use and learn whic is great for a novice i.e. beginner. The developer Martin, is quite responsive and he is not greedy very reasonably priced. Unlike lets say Silo whos developers don't respond or care much for Mac users ecxept to take their money and are already asking for an upgrade fee after one Mac release, thats never had allthe features the Windoze version had. So my hats of to you Martin, keep up the good work for and in behalf of the Mac commonity.

QUIIICK  Very impressive piece of software.

But please do add a version number to the downloadable .dmg-files.

Like: "Cheetah3D_2.4.1.dmg" a not "Cheetah3D.dmg"

Plus: IMHO the toolbar icons in Cheetah3D are not very professional looking and way too colorful.

MIKE J  I LOVE this program. Great rendering, some of the finest I've had experience with. I only would like support for self-lighting (lightmaps), so, to make an area glow, on a polygonobject, I wouldn't need to position a spotlight at that place, the supplementary image would create illumination there. (It's like a bumpmap for light.)
