WHAT'S NEW
Version 3.0.2:
  • Increased the unregistered movie limit to 25 movies to help give new users a better feeling of iVideo's capabilities. Older versions of iVideo only allowed up to 10 movies.
  • Added "Set Preview to Current Frame" and "Set Preview to Picture" actions to the respective contextual menus.
  • New folders, playlists, and smart playlists are now automatically placed within the same folder as the selected playlist. For example, right-clicking a folder and choosing "New Playlist" will create a playlist inside that folder.
  • When modifying the keywords for multiple movies at once, iVideo now only updates the keywords that you selected/deselected. It was previously impossible to easily give every movie the same keyword without also removing the original keywords for each individual movie.
  • iVideo now closes the last file it imported. This used to cause problems when deleting the movie later (iVideo would report a "file in use" error).
  • The Error Log is actually useful now that it records descriptive messages when importing movies.
  • Made a few changes to the Preferences window to be more consistent with iTunes.
  • Fixed a bug that involved the "move files" or "copy files" database type and storing the iVideo Movie Library on an external hard drive.
  • Fixed a crash that occured when trying to edit and remove a keyword at the same time.
  • Made a few changes to the documentation to make it more organized and concise.

STORMCHILD  This was a great idea for an app, but its future now seems uncertain. The company website is still up, and it looks like they have a new app called "Acrylic" on the horizon (presumably some sort of painting app?), so apparently they are still active, but iVideo hasn't been updated in two and a half years, and there is no sign that an Intel-native version is even under development -- and the company blog was last updated in 2006.

I hope to see this product developed further, or a similar one introduced by another developer.  (Version 3.0.2)

TOURNESOL  Great app, but why has it not been updated since 2005 and why is there not a Universal version available? Seems sloppy to me.  (Version 3.0.2)

STARBARK  I love this app!! Now my favorite piece of software!

Although, I would like to see these features:

- labels (for those episodes you've already watched)

- set OWN thumbnail/"previews" that are already within the video (not search your hd for an image)

- pressing 'enter' to rename (just like mac os x---then 'return' will play it)

- choice to delete subsections of movie library (2001, 2002, etc.)

- more control:

+ability to put episode number, series title, episode title, season (tv series)

+ ability to put movie title, year released, genre (movies)

+ ability to put artist, song title, album (music videos)

- remove "preferences" under window because it is already under iVideo

Is this a bug?

Last 5 imports shows a lot more than 5 videos!

Otherwise, great app! Will watch this for sure.  (Version 3.0.2)

JADRANKA  iVideo is probably the best movie catalog on MacOSX

platform. I have imported 1287 movies (from little funny clips in .wmv format, music video clips in .mpg

format, and real movies (2-3 hours) .avi (divx).

iVideo handle all this without problems, program is fast and stable, faster and better then other similar

apps on the market. What can I say more, I am really happy with iVideo.

By the way, trying with 25 movies is more than enough! IVideo is also that fast with thousand of them.
