ABDialer is a smart software utility to automate the process of dialing phone numbers stored on the Mac OS X Address Book contacts. With a single click, it can dial the phone, avoiding the user to manually type phone numbers. No more misspelled numbers, just pick up the phone and talk. ABDialer can use any standard modem or mobile phone connected to the Macintosh and, optionally, it can play touch-tones directly to the phone using the computer speaker. It's highly configurable and can also be used as an external dialer for virtually all applications.
Main features includes:

WARWICKT Warning -- I've been using ABDialer 1.1.2 for years (registered user), then upgraded my G4 Quicksilver to 10.5.2 and ABDialer no longer works. The Apple Internal Modem does not dial (there's a discussion thread about the issue at http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=6935046). I know the modem is OK because other comms programmes like ZTerm operate normally. So it is a software issue -- either with 10.5.2 or ABDialer (or both).
I've emailed Macron twice over the last 3 weeks but have not received any response. Others say the same -- looks like ABDialer is no longer supported. (Version 2.0)
DAVIDE MARINOTTO I rarely post comments on shareware software, however this time I have something do say about ABDialer.
I'm a registered user since the first version and trust me this is a great product. But the most important thing, the support of these guys is one of the best I ever seen. I had a problem with ABDialer, wrote to support and their reply was prompt and kindness. Indeed I realized the problem was not from ABDialer but they really helped me to solve it anyway.
The price is really cheap compared to features and the support received.
Additionally I see nothing so bad on the upgrade policy. There are many products without an upgrade price (think to Mac OS X from Apple) and in some cases I don't agree. But this time, hey, we are talking about $12!
Additionally I sold some shareware in past and I can confirm what they wrote on FAQ. Sell software online has a cost to pay and as more the price is low, then more the cost to sell has an high impact.
PINK PANTHER Believe it or not, but the following is taken from the official ABDialer FAQ:
"Are there discount upgrades to ABDialer 2?
- Sorry but since ABDialer has such a low shareware fee, we can't sell discount upgrades because this would cost us almost the same amount as the fee it takes to sell ABDialer."
In other words, you want all your loyal customers to buy twice or more your product, and the new potential customers to know that they will have to pay once again in the future. To say the least, I think that it is a very bad policy, and hope the reactions of your (so far) loyal customers will help to change it. (Version 2.0)
PROFAD I am a registered (and satisfied) user of version 1.1.2. Would like to upgrade to version 2. How to pay for an upgrade, and how much is it? No details on your home page! (Version 2.0)
ALEX If you absolutely MUST use a software dialer (and I can't see why--unless you're terribly fat and traditional dialing causes exhaustion) use MACDialer. It's cheaper and their customer support is responsive. (Version 1.1.2)
ROB Still can't figure out how to dial directly from Apple Address Book. The FAQs list a way to do, but I can't make it work. Directions will have to be clearer... or maybe it just doesn't work. (Version 1.0b20)
AVFOLK Nicely done -- easy to configure for local numbers where no area code or prefix is needed. Simple, clean interface -- and best yet, it works with a modem, your cell, or even holding phone up to your computer's speaker. Nice handy app, useful, great price, and it works!!! (Version 1.0b17)
