Conversation, IRC for the rest of us... Conversation makes chatting on the IRC network as easy as using iChat and other IM clients. Conversation allows you to chat in channels and with your friends in a simple, elegant and Mac-like interface without the use of any text command. Yet it has a comprehensive set of features, some unique to Conversation. Conversation is available in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portugese, Dutch, Japanese, traditional Chinese, Russian, and Ukrainian.
KILLER KLOWN KAR Conversation is by far the best IRC client. It's too bad the developer isn't supporting it. But it's working under Rosetta on 10.5.5 Intel for me, and yes I am running APE also. (Version 2.14)
L008COM The author's email address has been sending out "Conversation isn't dead" auto-responses for 2 years running. I've given up hope. I know several OS X programmers that offered to port the code to at least make the program Universal, for free, and even without seeking credit (though crediting them would certainly be the right thing to do). But email after email goes unanswered. :-( (Version 2.14)
JCRAIG Would love to see a UB version of this wonderful program. Colloquy is nice but it's always buggy. Will we see an update, or has this become vaporware? (Version 2.14)
APFHEX I've tried various IRC clients for OS X such as Snak and X-Chat Aqua, but Conversation has them beat hands down! Don't bother with anything else. Conversation just works, and is extremely "Mac-like" in its interface/features. (Version 2.14)
SAB Yep, this is the IRC program i've been looking for all this time. Definately the best and the easiet and the most reliable irc program on mac ever. plus it's free. Very cool. (Version 2.14)
