PSANDIFORD  Please allow me to restate my comment: after installing I could not access any preference controls within System Preferences after installing IdolWeb; I do not know it IdolWeb was the cause or if the condition was pre-existing.

    ARNAUD  Hello,

Anyone interested by this app probably already noticed it's not fully 10.4Tiger compatible.

Even though the app has been discontinued, its developper is readly to put up a new version if there is enough demands.

So anyone even remotely interested - and they should be ;)- by it, should leave a message in the message box.

Thanks for this great app !

XANCORP  Good. I like web pages as screensavers! I like to see information as i am walking past my computer. However, it appends "http://" in front of every URL even those using "file://" so it would be "http://file://...". please fix this so i can view pages in my Hard disk.

ANONYMOUS  I'd like it to be able to handle password-protected pages (like forums where you have to login to see what's been posted).

    ****.

ARNAUD  i'm a HUGE fan of this app, and this new version is particularly welcome !

    - you can more easily add, remove AND MOVE URLs

(now you can move up and down the URLs order)

    - you can easily drag&drop bookmarks directly from Safari bookmarks webpage

    GREAT !

(ok they're removed from there but, hint, Cmd-Z put them all back again :) )

    - the "start scrolling option when page is completed" if great

    - can't wait to have the not yet available "only change when end of page is reached" option

one bug : the use as screensaver cannot the stopped (on my Powerbook 12 10.3.3)

even though i changed the option on "false" it cannot be stopped easily

i would NOT recommend to use it for the moment

CRAPSTUFF  This program is really cool....

However it seems to need a bit more refinement in the display/time options to be really usefull to me.

I would like to be able to set the time it displays the first (top of page) piece of a webpage, like 10 seconds, then a scroll to the bottom of the page over the next 5 seconds.

It needs more options and could be worth $15 shareware withoubt shame.

ANONYMOUS  Good screen saver, which allow all sorts of tricks to display usefull information about your system or to gather news from multiples sources when nothing happens to it for some time.

I would like some better use of multiple monitors: currently, it can only show the same page on each screen. Also missing: some sort of automatic scrooling, so all of the pages is displayed.

ARNAUDT  i was a fan, a long time ago, of the web module in After Dark : it grabbed news on web sites and put them on your screen

unfortunately at that time there was no DSL, no high bandwith, no permanent connection

and this module has since disappeared

Idleweb is the next best thing (and even superior in many ways)

it's now my favorite screen saver : aaaahh to look at your favorite web site in full screen ... :)

a few more options : - longer times per site (60 seconds when the page is a long one is not enough)

    - the possibility to move the order of the web sites, up or down

    - i cannot change the address : bug or function not yet implemented ?

anyway, this is a great work, and has no equivalent

MACGIZMO  Works perfectly for me. Just enter a full web address into the bar in "options" and hit the enter key. You can add as many as you like it appears. I'm running 10.3.2 on a G4 dual 1ghz.
