CHIZZLEPAIN  In the beginning, when Americas Army was first on the drawing board, the army likely wanted to use AA for propaganda and as a recruiting tool. They also wanted to train soldiers with it because of its realistic environment and weapons etc...

However, I think it ended up differently then what they originally wanted it too be. Instead it became a fun, realistic first-person shooter, JUST LIKE ANY OTHER GAME!! But, in the end, how people view the game, either as a recruiting tool or just a game, is up too the perspective of the person writing about it. I personally like this game and I see where the propaganda supporters are coming from. (Having a few in my family.) However, I dont support their views. I think it is just a FUN GAME! and we should LEAVE it as a fun game.

CHIZZLEPAIN  Also to the person who says that the army could use our tax dollars for something else, If it were not for the army spending OUR tax dollars to support the FIRST computers ( YES, the army was the first to even consider the creation and use of computers), you would not be writing that review.

MACUPDATE ADMIN  "YES, the army was the first to even consider the creation and use of computers"

Really, not even close to being true.

The first computers were made by civilian eggheads with no affiliation with nor support from the military.

ANONYMOUS  Here we have the military releasing a video game to glorify war and violence in an effort to recruit clueless teenage boys to offer their lives for a fraudulent war started by a fraudulent president who was "elected" to protect the special interests of corporations, namely oil and drug companies. This is immoral.

NONA  Please Shutup. Either review the game or provide feedback. If I want political comments that are anti-war, I'll look elsewhere.

ANONYMOUS  Come on people, this is not for anti-war political comments but rather for comments on the GAME, America's Army 2.5. If you are unprepared to say how good this game is or say it sucks, then just keep your trap shut about anything else.

ANONYMOUS  Garbage military propaganda targeted at kids.

How about the US government sponsors a cross-platform video game that encourages thought or acquisition of knowledge -- and makes it fun at the same time?

WIRIK  Video gaming is probably not the first place you should look to if you want education. Playing is supposed to be fun. For education you go to a teacher. Trying to make kids learn by putting education into video games is like trying to make them healthy by putting vegetables into maryland cookies. Sick!
