ANONYMOUS It's a nice idea for an app, but has a lot of problems. Most of it doesn't behave as an application should - a window might only come to the front if you click on the title bar for example, or clicking on a window while already in the front can disrupt the application. Standard command keys aren't always implemented. And worst of all, it screwed up my system sound settings, even after quitting and rebooting! It kept the sound volume in my right speaker (using the SoundSticks) constant while changing only the left speaker volume - and I had no balance control in the Sound preference pane. After I deleted this program, I had to get it again to fiddle with the sound output settings to restore normal behavior. Overall, this has the potential to be a good application, if the developer spends some time polishing it. As it is, it makes me feel like I'm using Windows, or maybe even something worse! It does let you generate some interesting sounds, though, so if that's what you need (and you don't mind having to deal with a plethora of annoyances and bugs), this'll do it. (Version 1.1.2) |
