DRDUL  Love it! I've struggled for two years to get my brain to remember fn-delete, with not much success. Installed DoubleCommand today and set it to do only one thing — remap the backslash to forward-delete. Already it's reduced my frustration level when typing on my MacBook.

For those who might wonder (like I did) what the numbers mean to the left of the edit buttons at the top of the pref pane, refer to this page for an explanation: http://doublecommand.sourceforge.net/install.html. At first, I was worried that I had somehow remapped 131072 key combinations!

APIKOROS  Aargh! I cannot remove Double Command! I did deactivate it, then deleted the pref pane... but the keyboard change— forward slash acts as forward delete— remains! And I can't get DC's instaler to re-install the app so I can try making the keyboard revert to normal... and I keep getting kernel panics that cite:

HELP! These panics are making me nuts!

APIKOROS  Seems to cause regular kernel panics, using an Apple wireless aluminum keyboard (with only one substitution: forward slash acts as forward delete) with an Intel Core Duo iMac running OS 10.5.2.

KUPHD  1.6.6b3 doesn't seem to work at all. I have a Logitech PC keyboard which, without DoubleCommand, has the Option key functioning as the Command key. I've been using DoubleCommand to swap the Option and Command keys. With 1.6.6b3, none of the settings stick. However, going back to 1.6.6b1 makes it work again.

SAMPLER  PB G4 OS X 10.5.1 1.65 fine 1.66b1 not.

On other lists, users of 1.6.6b1 have reported many problems. On my system it caused no crashes but would not hold its settings. On the advice of a poster to Version Tracker, I installed 1.65. I have one substitution:- enter- acts as -control-. It's working fine.

OZEAN  This highly useful software has been updated several times – check out the developer page for the newest version. Good news: it seems the developer wants to include support for multiple keyboards! That is exactly what I need. :)
