MONKEYJUNKEY  Great idea to drop the installer. Much faster now. Next step is, make it possible to update via small packages inside the programm (in opposite to install the whole thing each time)... But I like the idea of not using an installer.

JAZZICA  Joel Barriere is a wonderfully talented developer and an obviously very giving person. If we think of all the times his app has saved us from trouble, we might be inclined to send a few dollars via paypal to support his efforts. He really is something special ... I've used all iterations of Onyx over a period of many years, and only a few times did a "hiccup" occur - never a disaster. Keeping up with every path change and OS update, plus doing it all in a tongue not native to him... that's moxie, and that's real talent. A 5-star app from a 10-star developer. Word up, Joel!

JEFF WRAGG  I maintain lots of macs and these betas have done very well. Just yesterday onyx cleared up a big problem for me on a snow leopard MacBook pro.

ALEXANDER  It does not work correct with 10.6 10A432 GM.

Cleaning the system caches makes OSX10.6 slow to boot and it never gets the same as before. After the OS10.6 install it took about 25seconds to boot. After I cleaned up the caches with Onyx it is +60 seconds. After many boot thereafter it is still longer then normal - a bout 45seconds.

I know, Onyx is not released for OSX10.6 but someone here mentioned it works with 10.6 but it has some serious issues. So do not use it for cleaning.

Tweaks seems to work ok.
