GORDON142  This seems like a really nice application. I tried the initial 3.0 release and found Mobileme syncing to be rather buggy. I contacted the developer and was told that syncing would be improved in a forthcoming update. Trusting them, I proceded to purchase both this and the iPhone version. Unfortunately, several updates later, syncing is still virtually unusable. I've sent many support requests, and not once have I received a response since those very early promises. It's like they can't make it work so they have simply decided to end all contact with paying customers. I really have to recommend staying away from this app as the developer treats customers so poorly.

DTRUETT1  As per the last comment, synching via Mobil Me stopped working. Even exporting and importing within Wallet fails to update the most current database.

I have contacted them 3 times in the last month, sending the Console log and a screenshot, with no reply. I can only speculate that Acrylic has laid off their support team. I understand the difficulties of these times, but I’ll be looking around for an alternative. I got this app free, but paid for the upgrade so that I could get support if I needed it.

MACNOOK  To the Developer: Please check your spam folder.

I cannot get syncing to work properly (re: my comment below-- it seemed to work...once). I emailed a support request on February 13th and I haven't heard from you yet. I just forwarded it to you again.

MACNOOK  Version numbering is seemingly incorrect.

I had version 3.0.1-- date modified December 3rd. Today-- December 23rd-- this "new" version of 3.0.1 is out. Check for updates told me I had the newest version, but I downloaded the update (dated 12-23) anyway. It is a different build (last modified date December 22nd) and...

the syncing now seems to work correctly!

DOUG.SHUMAN  Wallet 3 is a huge improvement over version 2. The interface is very refined, the program is easy to use and stability is great. The developer was quick to respond when emailed. I'm very happy I purchased this program.

GUIGA  That was a good update from 2.7...

3.0 works a lot smoother and has some new features...

Import can be tricky, but after renaming all fields on 2.7 and reinstalling the hole thing it worked.

special characters in 2.7 were imported as symbols and had to be re-done... Small price for a software that is all that I have asked in my Mac.

Now, regarding IPhone... Who want's a MobileMe account ? I know I don't ! I have tried forever to sync over Wifi (Without the MobileMe account) and while 3.0 tries to connect with the IPhone (At least it finds it when Wallet is on in the IPhone) it just keeps connecting but never does... No pop up screen on the IPhone...

For now, 3.0 is very well worth the upgrade, Wallet for IPhone so far... I Don't know...

GORDON142  The features are very nice, but the real winner is the ability to sync effortlessly with the iPhone version. The easiest way yet I've found to take my important info on-the-go.

Some small bugs when entering contacts, and the import function is pretty clumsy — it only supports CSV files, seemingly, you have to important different CSV files for each category of your old app and import them one at a time, the drag them into the new categories and remap all the fields (it does not seem to preserve the field names in the CSV file, even though the there are present in said file. There is no way to map to the "Notes" field.

GUIGA  How the hell did you manage to sync Wallet 3.0 with IPhone 1.0 (IPhone) without the MobileMe account ??? It tries to connect but never does....

Support from Acrylic is non existant.

DOUBLEFORTE  Looks like a great upgrade, very happy that files can now be attached! Question regarding that: Are the attached file embedded in the database or do I need to keep the original file on my drive? Also, how can I get the file out of Wallet? I tried to drag it out, but nothing happened. Seems like files check in, but they don't check out.

DUSTIN  Attached files are embedded and encrypted with the database. You can retrieve the file by clicking the down arrow icon next to the file icon.

GCOGHILL  Seems the 2.x licenses are not valid for 3.0, no note of this on the devs Web site nor during the upgrade process. Your database is also upgraded to the 3.0 version. No indication of upgrade pricing. Be forewarned.

DUSTIN  As mentioned on our website, upgrades from Wallet 2.x are $5.

Wallet 3 imports your Wallet 2 database, but does not move or modify it, so you can still keep using Wallet 2 should you decide not to upgrade.

Thanks for the info.

T7  Dustin, the Wallet 2 serial numbers (at least some of 'em) are not recognized as valid serial numbers in the upgrade process on the website. That's the problem...

T7  Well, I did mail earlier, mentioning the problem and the fact that the Wallet iPhone app is not available in at least the Dutch App Store (and possibly some other European app stores as well). I'm sure this will be solved though. Nohhing but good experiences with the dev so far.
