DESCRIPTION
VoodooPad is a garden for your thoughts. Plant ideas, images, lists and anything else you need to keep track of. VoodooPad grows with you, without getting in the way Ñ no fences to box you in! Type in notes, highlight important words or phrases and create new pages. Drag and drop folders, images, applications, or URLs into VoodooPad Ñ they're linked up just like on the web. With powerful search, nothing will be lost or out of reach. The more you put into it, the better it gets.
VoodooPad Pro is a super charged version of VoodooPad, priced a bit more for people who need specialized features.
So What's Pro Got to Offer?
Document Encryption - VoodooPad Pro has the ability to encrypt every single bit in your document. Go ahead and write out your plans for world domination, knowing they can only be opened with the correct password. Import sensitive PDFs, images, or other files as well.
Triggers - Triggers are a way to script VoodooPad when certain events occur such as a new page being created or deleted, documents opening or closing, files being written on web export and more. To make a trigger you write a simple script in a VoodooPad page, and then assign that page as a trigger event. When the event occurs your script is run.
Check out some examples in the documentation.
Item Meta - Assign meta data to an individual page which can be used for whatever you'd like. Works great with script plugins or triggers.
Web Sharing - VoodooPad Pro has a built in webserver to share your pages with friends or co-workers on your local network without any pain. Bonjour support is included so you don't have to hand around cryptic urls.
WHAT'S NEW
Version 4.1.2:<
- Fixed a bug where you would get self-referencing links on the iPhone with VP Reader.
- Fixed a bug where aliases were not imported correctly when importing/merging one VP document into another.
- Search results from the VP Pro webserver now match those from within VP.
- Fixed a bug where you calling "Edit ▸ Cut" on an image page, and would cause VP to throw an assertion error.
- Fixed a bug in web export, where you couldn't set the export format to Markdown via AppleScript.
- Fixed a bug where you couldn't call plugins or open up the sketch sheet on pages that have been temporarily decrypted.
- Fixed a problem where VP wouldn't release some memory while waiting for a sync to start.
- Fixed a crasher when exporting to the iPhone.
- Reworked some code, to hopefully fix a hard to reproduce crash when opening documents.

BLOOMSDAY This is a unique application. Its purpose is user-defined. You will need to determine how its structure and workflow can best suit you. It may take a few days. It may take a few weeks. But when it hits you, VoodooPad's value will reveal itself. I use it as a journal that swallows any file I choose to dump into it. And I dump everything into it. Its wiki style brings all of the randomness together. I love this thing. This VoodooPad. The more you use it, the better it gets. That is for certain. (Version 4.1)

VALDIMAR THOR H There is a problem downloading from developer. I have been trying since version 4.00 came out and made it just once after few days trying. Then counter on macupdate tells the story as does versiontrackers. It looks like developers site is down most of the time. Is this being looked into?: (Version 4.0.3)

LARRY R A wonderful tool for organizing and gathering information. I have been using it for over a year and it is really proven its worth. For the money it is a great deal. There is nothing out there that comes close to this tool. In addition to a find piece of software, the developer is very responsive and pays attention to comments and issues. (Version 4.0)

GETSOMESAUCE "People have been saying this for years: If nobody's complaining about the price of your application, then you've got it too low. ... Originally VooDooPad was only $9.95, and right it's 30 dollars, and I, um, just keep on raising the price and nobody's complaining. They keep on buying it. OK, I'll do that." -Gus Mueller, MacVoices [Podcast] #881, May 7th, 2008 (Version 3.5.1)

BONGOMAN1 You have a problem with the way someone approaches pricing their product? Lemme guess, you've never been in business for yourself? If you don't value something at the price it is on offer, then don't buy it. Gus owes you no favors. (Version 4.0)

DREMWKR I find vPad essential. It just gets better and better. The developer Gus is responsive and I couldn't ask for better support or someone to listen to ideas for improvement (a rare thing-Try that with any Adobe product). ¥Its wiki interface does what I need it to, even advanced things. ¥It just works. GEORGEDONNELLY VP is in a class of its own. It is an innovation, and the developer keeps on innovating. Its an integral part of my workflow. I purchased a license for an earlier version and would do so again for this latest version, however I have not been able to reach the website for months. Please check your firewall settings Flying Meat, and allow us visitors from South America please (200.* .*.*). Thanks. (Version 3.1.5)

EMIKYSA I have been using VoodooPad for over a year and a half and I absolutely love it. My VP document has over 2000 pages in it - everything from warranty information about products I've purchased, to notes from calls with customer service reps, to work plans and logs, to brainstorms, to task-lists, etc, etc. I believe that VP is the 'missing link' in computing. It allows users to easily and intuitively store, manage and retrieve data and information. Before VP I tried a variety of other systems to manage information. I found that using separate files in a regular directory structure was too cumbersome and I found other "notebook" style applications too regimented/segmented. Some other systems initially seemed promising, but nothing I tried was intuitive or easy enough for me to keep using it every day. I was thrilled when I came across VP because with it allows me to work without getting in my way. I don't often post software reviews, but this is truly an exceptional application. If you play around with the free version for a bit and think about the possibilities you'll likely quickly know whether or not VP is the right application for you. Erik Mikysa (Version 3.1.5)
