RAINDANCING  I am thrilled to death with EasyCrop. I've been creating backdrops for my old movies in Plex, and before I was importing into iPhoto, cropping there and exporting out. I thought to myself there has to be a better way-- and there is! Now I just keep the constraints set at 16:9, drag in, adjust, drag off. It's perfect for what I need. The only things I want to do are crop, sometimes flip, and occasionally desaturate, all of which EasyCrop does.

REAVERX  >> Version 2.4.3: Now works correctly on Snow Leopard.

Actually, it doesn't. At least not for me; since SL i'm not able to enter any values into the size parameter of the cropped result. still works via the slider though, but....

Otherwise it's a great time saver for anyone who has to crop and resize pics frequently.

Y-GUY  I kept searching for a simple, easy to use cropping program. I wanted to be able to constrain crop and freehand crop. Other apps made this a multi-step complicated process (ImageWell) however EasyCrop does exactly what it says, makes it easy and fast. Some may say the interface isn't pretty, well its simple and easy to use - I don't sit for hours on end in this app, I get my photo cropped and move on.

PENGMAN  This is a great little program.
TapDex from Yellow Mug is one of my indispensables and this could very well become that. Very impressed with how I could crop a person from a group shot. Uploading to my sites very good.
Nice.

DRDUL  I was looking for an app that would allow me to quickly straighten and crop scanned images without having to fire up Photoshop. EasyCrop and ResizeMe were the only two apps I could find that would allow me to rotate the image at any angle (rather than in 90-degree chunks). I purchased EasyCrop because all the controls are available and visible at once, it is easy and intuitive to use, and as an added bonus, screenshot capability is built in.

My only (very minor) complaint is that the appearance is sorta Windows-ish, especially the cheesy toolbar icons. But I can easily overlook that given how good the app is.

ROY VAN DER WONING  No experience with this application whatsoever, but the interface is keeping me from trying it. It just doesn't feel right to me.

It's what I was used to back in my Windows days. It seems unnecessarily cluttered, like every feature needed a control and all of these controls had to be in the main window.

Then there's the toolbar which has a Windows feel to it, right down to the Open (folder) and Save (Disk) icons which were copied verbatim from Windows. And there's at least 3 different styles of icons; they just don't match together.

Then there's the gratuitous use of borders which reminds me of a Windows app I used to have (Qimage). There's a border around the left pane, another border around the image portion of that pane and yet another (blue) border around that border. I'm sure there's a purpose to it, but it detracts from the clean UI that I've come to appreciate from Mac applications.

JOI  I bought the "bundle" from this company which included all their software. EasyCrop and all the other programs included in the bundle have worked flawlessly and are extremely stable. The price is reasonable and is a safe purchase.

FREDDUCKER  It works great! From what I understand you don't have a "save" option that overwrites the existing file you were cropping, so you might have to click "replace" a lot, but besides from that I liked it! Oh and i thought it would be nice to be able to open a lot of image files at once and go through them faster.

RAINDANCING  To streamline my process, I keep a finder window with my source pictures on the left, EasyCrop window in the middle, and then a finder window for my destination on the right.

My destination is usually just a new folder I've made to keep the results in so that I don't have to keep hitting 'replace'. If you need to see the pictures in your source, you can have them in icon view with sizable icons. It really goes pretty fast.
