    CHUXVOM  Beware!

If you're not having any problems with your connections/network then don't update.

I updated to 6.3 and 3 days later my Airport Express (Taiwan manufacture) was dead.

Coincidence? Perhaps, but I'm not the only person this has happened to.

JOHNNYHANDS  I also am getting the -8 error when attempting to install Airport Express Firmware Updater 6.3, though the Base Station is working - I am using it to write (and submit) this review.

GN0S1S  This update breaks support for the Brother HL-1440 printer. If you use that printer, beware, keep a copy of the older firmware handy or do not install this 6.3 update.

TOURNESOL  Seems to work just fine, and the nagging warning about people not being able to access my base because of wireless configuration is now gone. It still misses the ability in portforwarding to write ports from and to in the same field, instead of as now where each port has to be in its own field. Very time consuming!

TOURNESOL  Ahhh, nice, my Brother HL-1440 finally workes again with 6.1 firmware :) I had to downgrade to 6.0 because of that, and that made me lose the ability to use WPA on WDS. Great work apple!

SJK  Anyone know if an AirPort Express can act as a wireless bridge for connecting to a PlayStation 2? If possible, I'd like to replace a WET11 with an AE and also have added benefit of AirTunes.

CHONGO  I know it can for an Xbox for Xbox Live, so I would assume it could for PS2

    Hope that helps

ANONYMOUS  Absolutely - I have mine acting as a satelite to my Airport Extreme, and it brings my Tivo and PS2 online. Thanks to the recent firmware updates, I can even use WPA security! It's quite the sweet setup.

ANONYMOUS  This firmware (6.1) does not support WPA with non Airport wireless routers! This forces you to use the less secure WEP. If Apple are using the WPA prototcol correctly I don't see why then can't make it work! I'm considering returning my airport express becuase of this.
