GLOBETROTTERDK  Apparently, the British submarine engineer and historian Gavin Menzies, has used Starry Night to research what month and year that the Chinese Muslim navigator Zeng He discovered America.

You can read more in his book: 1421- The Year China Discovered America

PENNYHEAD1  Keeps getting better and better. Nice panoramas, great 3D models, nice simulations. I started using Starry Night around version 4 and by 6.2.1, it has been vastly improved. The developers are quick to sort out problems and there are more updates in between versions than in the past.

MONTY LEE  Updater does not work. It cannot find the application. On one computer the application was in a folder in the Applications folder. Nothing you do to tell the updater where the application is works. I moved Starry Night to the applications folder and it worked. But on a MacBook Pro running 10.4.11 there is nothing that works to get the updater to work. It constantly gives the error message "Application Not Found" even though you select it in the window. It is a "stupid" updater in that it can't even see its own application.

AVV3LENATO  Make sure that the application is in the folder called “Starry Night Pro Plus 6” in “Applications” folder. If is not so, the updater do not work!

ESPIRIDION  The More Information link goes to the version 5 updater, and not version 6.

Years ago I used version 3 and only recently updated to version 6 thanks to version 5 being on sale at the Discovery store, and an upgrade offer to version 6 from Starry Night. Otherwise it would have been too expensive for me.

Although the price can be high, I think it’s really the best software of its class out there. Very thorough and intuitive.

ANONYMOUS  This is not a bad program, if it worked!! If you go

to 'spaceshit' it will start to rotate and then bombs

on you. It bombs if you try to zoom in on a location, it bombs, bombs, bombs. I would stick

with 4.5; until they get the bugs worked out in

version 5. It's not worth the headaches. This is with OS 10.3.7. 4.5 is stable. Wait until they

come out with a new upgrade, maybe it will work,

but for now don't waste your money on Pro 5.

I can't say for the other ones they offer.

PLANETEN PAULTJE1  I have used SNP+ from v3 and it has never bombed on me that I can remember. The current v6.0.3 is also very stable. It is a resources hungry app though, so if you try to run it in a very cramped environment you may encounter some trouble or less 'stellar' performance.
