DOOBIEXX  this app is perfect.. better than all suggested, works fine on SL you have to choose from the other two options hotkey or... i forget anyway, can be used well in SL. Folderglance is overpriced.

LEE123  FolderGlance looks to be the first one out with a Snow Leopard solution. He also made the product a commercial app. Can't say as I blame him because he has a good product and it is even better with SL.

ZO219  Comparing this to FruitMenu is simply inaccurate, a mistake.

Folder Glance seems to have folded.

DOOBIEXX  openmenu x is much better than fruitmenu, this is native... fruitmenu is haxie that barely does it's basics. Oh yeah, it's constantly developed, I guarantee if openmenu x and fruitmenu don't work, openmenu x would be the first fixed and probably within the first week of the final snow leopard release.

JEFF H.  Just not having good luck with this at all.

Don't want to "review" this because I may be missing something and I don't want to trash it, yet, but when I invoke the contextual menu from the finder, and go to launch something, it ALWAYS launches the wrong app, ALWAYS.

AND, I want the contextual menus from the finder, I don't want to have to scroll down to "more".

Big waste of time as far as I can see... I bought this thing to save me time...not a work-around for me...a real time waster.

WHERES FRUITMENU?!?!!!

please Unsanity! UPDATE FOR LEOPARD!!!

TEL  This is indeed the best OS-X version of Finderpop I've come across - it's great and I'll gladly plonk out my $10.

For all of you saying that other apps do the same thing easier or cheaper - THEY DON'T. XMenu is fundamentally different in concept (being tied to the , FruitMenu causes conflicts all over the place with other software, and neither Launch Item nor Quick Access have the ability to work as a Contextual menu droplet for applescripts.

GNAW  Reply to Kelly,

The Contextual Menu Workshop, does all what you say and it free!

I use QuickAccessCM to launch Apps and goto foders, very good.

But of course I'll try this one.

KELLY  I've finally found my FinderPop replacement. I have tried ALL the others. This is the best launcher and file redirector for OS X.

This is the ONLY one that can send folders/subfolders of files to various apps. My typical uses:

-Launch Applications

-Send a folder full of files to iView Media or to Toast to burn a CD

-Open an Illustrator file in Illustrator 8 or 10, Photoshop, iView, email, FlightCheck, toast, dropstuff.

It's also the easiest to use.

It may be missing some features of other programs most notably the ability to move a file into a folder. But what it does it does well.

Try it.
