Most of Cocktail's major features are arranged in five basic categories. In addition, a Pilot lets you clean, repair and optimize your system with one click of the button.
MACMAN8 I want to thank the developer for his response to my question. It's nice to know that he cares and is interested in our concerns. I greatly appreciate the efforts and fine products of those like this developer, producing quality products for Mac users everywhere. Thanks again. (Version 4.2)
MACMAN8 I want to thank the developer for not forgetting those of us still using Tiger, and for updating Cocktail for us as well. Your dedication to Mac users, as well as those who cannot use Leopard or Snow Leopard (due to hardware limitations) is greatly appreciated. Thanks for a great product and for including us too. I use Cocktail on a daily basis at shutdown, and my Mac is in great shape thanks to your efforts. (Version 4.5.2)
ICONZ113 I've used onyx, sLCC, macpilot and mainmenu, and I've settled on cocktail. They all have there strengths, but cocktail always solves the problem, I don't really use it regularly just for maintenance, I use it when Im having some issue, and it always fixes it. Great application (Version 4.5.2)
MACMAN8 I want to thank the developers of this application for not forgetting Tiger users and throwing us aside. Other developers have simply ignored those of us that chose to remain with Tiger, instead of moving up to Leopard, and they never bother to update their programs for our operating system. It is refreshing to know that a developer still cares about our needs as well. I just want to thank you for your efforts, and the fact that you still update Cocktail for Tiger. Your efforts are much appreciated, and "IF" I make a jump to "Snow Leopard" when it arrives, I'll be looking for Cocktail to take care of my Mac. (Version 4.3.4)
MACTECHHEAD Is this new version of Cocktail for Snow Leopard only for 64-bit Mac's running 10.6?
I started up from 10.6 and when I tried to launch Cocktail 4.5 I was given an error saying "Cocktail cannot be launched from this Mac because it's not compatible" or something alone those lines.
This would be a shame if the developer is doing this intentionally. (Version 4.5)
Working perfectly and launching without warning (Version 4.5)

ERIC WOEHLER The software claims to be able to, " to clear potentially harmful files such as most common trojans or other files that may harm your system in any way" but I can't find the settings to do so - is it done behind the scenes? I can't find the panel with the relevant settings. Am I missing something here? Can someone help me pls? Thanks (Version 4.3)
That's the developer's site, has much info. (Version 4.3)

MAINTAIN This feature is located in Files -> Caches -> Options. If the "Potentially harmful files" option is enabled, Cocktail will search for trojans and other harmful files every time it will clear System caches (manually or using scheduler). (Version 4.3)

EXEGETEJR I bought Cocktail with a MacUpdate bundle in July of '07 and have been very happy with it. As far as I can tell, Cocktail does what it offers, very well, and I have had no issues. The developer keeps the app updated; in fact, I give the developer kudos for a stable app that only requires updating with OS updates! (I find it annoying to see an app get updated every few days or weekly). All-in-all, great general maintenance app! (Version 4.1.5)
