KKNOPP I realize FireFox isn't a Mac only application, nor is the Mac platform it's main priority (not even close..) but you'd think they could put out a version that was Mac like. And didn't feel like a shoddy Windows port. It almost reminds me of a Java application in that way. Yes I know that you can get plugins to make it look different, but again that is like putting lipstick on a pig. I've tried and tried and tried to love this application. Esp at first when Safari had little or no ad blocking abilities. And every new build that comes out I d/l it and REALLY want to love it. But every time I get disappointed at just how un-mac like it is. Until they can get this together (which of course I am sure it's not even being close to the top of the list of things to do) I will stay with Safari. I really have no reason to switch now. Especially now that Safari has all the nifty addons as well. So YAY for Firefox taking away IEs monopoly and user base on the Windows side, but boo for them basically just giving us Mac users a shoddy ported version. Firefox on Windows is much better than the Mac version. Thank God Safari is better than both. (Version 2.0.0.14) |
