ROB Ever so often I wanted to print from my Powerbook to my shared printed only to find that the desktop sharing the printer was asleep. I would have to walk two stairs down.
WakeUp provides exactly what I missed until now: the power to wake up my remote desktop and print my stuff.
Great and simple to use software. Thanks. Chapeau! (Version 1.11)
ASMEURER They work differently. Wakeup uses a feature built into Mac OS X. Remote Desktop "tells" the Remote Desktop Client to put the computer to sleep, something that only remote desktop can do. so without some kind of client, this would be impossible. (Version 1.11)

YORAMIH It works great for me. I use it to wake my iMac G4 from my wireless iBook. My iMac is physically connected to my Airport Base Station. (Version 1.1)
ANONYMOUS Does this only work over a local network or also across the net? I would like to be able to wake my home Mac sitting on a cable modem via DHCP from my work Mac. (Version 1.0)
