RICHARD  RChess is a great little program: a chess game for "the rest of us" - those of us who make occasional mistakes, and can't win against most chess computer programs as a result. Featuring nine levels, there's something for almost everybody here.

Unfortunately, RChess is a Classic application only. There is no OSX version, nor will there ever be, it seems. This limitation reduces the utility of RChess for me, since Classic emulation eats battery power, for some reason.

Version 2.2.2 is probably the 'best', since the final one, 2.2.3 adds features that you probably don't need, cluttering the interface as a result.

For some reason, the computer plays a very wacky game as white. It doesn't appear to be able to handle initiative!

But who cares. Find your level, and beat RChess every few days. It gives you a warm feeling. Or is that just my rapidly discharging battery?  (Version 2.2.3)
