DESCRIPTION

A-OK! The Wings of Mercury is a realistic simulation of the Mercury spacecraft. It features 3D graphics, fully functional control panels, networked simulations, and a complete manual.

A-OK! WoM is so realistic, you will use the actual checklists used by the astronauts. Orbital and Sub-Orbital missions can be simulated. Orbital missions and a Mission Control Center simulator are available to registered users.

WHAT'S NEW
Version 3.8: High altitude aborts no longer end a simulation with a “Incorrect entry attitude was reached” error. Sub-panel selection using the mouse now works for monitors larger than 1024x768. When using larger monitors, certain sub-panels could not be opened by clicking on the main panel. No more error messages when fast forwarding for extended periods of time. Countdown does not restart the count checklist any more. The Freedom 7 capsule is now properly orientated. Saving a blank panel set no longer prevents sub-panel selection via the keyboard. Launch vehicle and spacecraft remain centered in external view window during all phases of flight.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Mac OS X 10.1.5 or later.

JOE NASTASI  Obviously, you can say that about any realistic simulation. If you don't practice you can't fly a plane in X-Plane or Microsoft Flight Simulator either. In fact, the Mercury spacecraft was designed to run automatically, so you could just "go along for the ride" for your first missions.
