PENNYHEAD  Fried my computer yesterday while doing some OSX java updates and Adobe Bridge. Had to completely start over. Recorder XHead did not recognize my registration information since I basically have a new computer. The developer responed quickly by giving me a new registration number. All I can say is that along with a Five Star application comes Five Star service! Thanks!

NITA  I would recommend this to every Mac user, it is extremely easy to use, sound quality is brill and I have got an incredible use out of it already - from recording my own voice memos to recording internet radio and teleconference files. Why isn't this world-famous?!

DON TRAMMELL  I ma a recent convert to Mac and was a bit worried that I would not find the types of software that I use in the Windoze environment. Not to fear with Xheadsoftware. I downloaded a couple demos and did not even bother for them to time out. I went back and bought the entire bundle and at $34.95 this is a bargin. Run, do not walk to their site: www.xheadsoftware.com and pick up some great software. I give them a 9.9 out of 10.

NINA   This program is fantastic! It is extremely user friendly, and if you have any questions at all the support people at recorder.xhead are always there for you. I am self taught in just about everything I do on the computer. I wanted a program that I could use to record my voice for my granddaughter, both singing and speaking. I checked out so many, and they were all so complicated!! I emailed the recorder.xhead people with my questions, and they answered every question within a couple of hours! I purchased it, and it is by far the best purchase I've ever made! Now I can actually create something without learning a complicated program!

HANKFB  I've found it! I've found it! I desperately needed a straightforward, works-every-time voice recorder and along came recorder.xhead, which, importantly for me, produces files that come up sharp and clean in my audio editor, and sound just as sharp and clean. To date, I've found nothing amiss, nothing to gripe about. Good job, xhead! And don't waste your time developing frou-frou (fancy skins and the like). Cheers!

ANONYMOUS  I just downloaded v3.0 and it works well for me. I'm recording sound directly from my iSight camera mic.

I'm using it for practicing Spanish and playing back my pronunciation.

The UI looks nice too.

LEO OF BORG  Avoid avoid avoid. Does NOT save mp3s, only saves mp4 (not capatible with older iPods). Interface is clunky, there is NO pause during recordings. I paid for this dog. Don't make my mistake; go for Audio Recorder (1.3) and the 'Better Sound' PrefPane (for good gain control) instead.
