OnyX is a multifunction utility for Mac OS X (PowerPC and Intel). It allows you to verify the Startup Disk and the structure of its System files, to run misc tasks of system maintenance, to configure the hidden parameters of the Finder, Dock and of some of Apple's own applications, to delete caches, to remove a certain number of files and folders that may become cumbersome and more.
Wassup? We love your program and anxiously await an update.
Don't let the naysayers get you down. A few slings and arrows are part of it all, and you gotta roll with it. You have a ton of talent and a knack for programming. Go for it before Apple changes the file paths or something!
JPWGIBSON What I mean is that there does not seem to be any action being taken by the developer against all of the problems that have been posted here. I have been very fond of OnyX for many years, using it on all 3 of my Macs; and then the troubles started a couple of months ago, and there hasn't been any updates subsequently. I certainly don't mean anything disrespectful or disparaging by my comment. (Version 1.9.6b1)
DANWAY Since the last Mac update, 10.5.3. My G4 locks up after Onyx finishes and tries to restart. It doesn't do this on my Intel Mac. Using Onyx 1.9.5, weird. (Version 1.9.6b1)
