my name is Daniel.

As the Mac is my platform of choice I primarily develop my software on OS X using Xcode. I love Objective-C, but I also have a good knowledge of other languages such as Java, C or Java-Script. Since summer 2011 I have begun to create applications some of which I believe are good enough to share with others.

I am a self-starter. I love working together with a great team, but I don't expect guidance from somebody else. I think if you wait for perfect conditions you will never get anything done.

I have learned the basics of Cocoa and Objective-C with the book "Cocoa Programming for Mac OS X" by Aaron Hillegass. This is probably the best way to get into software development for Mac or iOS. The book language is clear and simple and there are no bugs within the example code. Many other programming books suffer with this problem.

I am currently a student of Computer Science at the Fachhochschule Kiel (University of Applied Sciences), Germany and also the developer of the unofficial campus application of my university. You can find it in the iOS App Store here.

When I am not working on my applications, I can be found windsurfing, running or cycling. I also love traveling to other countries, discovering different cities and cultures. Hiking in the nature is also a passion of mine.
