The IOXperts driver worked flawlessly on my Wallstreet Powerbook with a SMC
EliteConnect 2.4GHz 802.11b High Power Wireless PC Card (SMC2532W-B).
I used the System 9 driver at first and when I upgraded to Daystar's G4 upgrade and installed OS 10.3.9 the OS X driver worked equally well.
The interface isn't outstanding but it does the fundamental stuff. And does it well.

This driver worked perfectly on my PowerBook G3 with Mac OS X for my Lucent Tech WaveLAN Silver card. I am connected to a Cisco access point.

I have a skyline 802.11b pc card in my G3 powerbook and have tried both the ioxperts driver and the sourceforge.net one. Although the ioxperts one has a good interface, my computer seems to get better reception with the sourceforge driver and it's free.

This is a comment to the poster Anonymous who regards IOXPert as not a good value for money:
- I have searched for a driver for the Orinoco wireless card and the only one I could find was the SourceForge Drivers. So, kindly point to me where the other freebie drivers are.
- While the SourceForge drivers are usable, there are many quirks, eg. sleep mode freeze or remove-card-freeze. And the drivers have not been updated for at least half-a year.
- So in contrast, the IOXpert driver works, works really well. And if you can afford a powerbook and a thirdparty wi-fi card, you can surely see value in paying 20usd for something which is of good quality and continually being updated.

This is a demo, the registsration is $19.99. There is no way this is 'excellent value.' There are at least 5 (four) different drivers for os x 802.11b products and 4 of them are free. If you have certain cards you can use better drivers depending on what you are going to do with them. For the average user any driver which allows their card to work and support WEP is all that should be required. I think this driver is rated far to highly on features and ease of use. All drivers for 802.11b are either 'dones' of airport (in configuration) or small drivers leveraging other free software packages cobbled together. Please don't rate things 4x5 w/o checking out the developers site and competing products.
