Citrix ICA Client is an ICA Client
developed specifically for the Mac OS X operating system,
providing native connectivity to MetaFrame servers for Macintosh users. It adheres to the new Aqua user interface features and behaviors to offer a user experience consistent with other applications running on Mac OS X.
As an alternative to using a SOCKS proxy, Version 6.30 also
supports using a Secure proxy, and proxy authentication is
supported. The ICA Macintosh Client can automatically detect
proxy server settings from the network settings in the client

What's New
Version 11.2.0:
The Online Plug-in for Macintosh, Version 11.2 provides the following new features and enhancements:
This ICA client from Citrix is a horrid application. Very typical of a Windows centric company to produce crappy software that does not do anything rational that a user wants to do. The basic problems are:
1. Instead of creating one application you have an ICA client and a connection editor. You can not create the connection document from the client! You first must create it from the editor (even for temporary connections)!!!
2. Once you start the ICA client, it does nothing! Not even bring up the open dialog box to read a connection document. Heck, you might even thing that you did not start it and sit there trying to start it again.
3. The connection documents are not connected in any way to the ICA binary so you can not double click on them and start up the ICA client with the specified connection. You can not drag a connection document to the ICA client icon either.
4. Upon starting an ICA connection, one gets about 8 errors about trying to print a document. WTF! Where did that one come from?
5. Closing a connection is not that intuitive either.....
All around just a bad implementation of an ICA client. Makes me want to go get a frontal lobotomy just so I can be like all the other Windows users that use sub par software.
We use Citrix at Catholic Healthcare West; I was afraid I wouldn't be able to log-on when I got my new iMac, but this client works great with Firefox/Safari. Thank you very much.
This works fine minus the fact its not a universal binary. And thus Rossetta makes its eat system memory like mad! So if your like me that can have 2-3 Citrix windows or sessions running at the same time your really going to feel the lag and your avaiable memory is going to drop drastically. So much that I am checking nearly weekly to see if Citrix has released a Universal Binary of this product. (PLEASE CITRIX. HURRY UP)
If you have having trouble connecting after updating to 10.4.3, remove the word "smartcard" from the config file "Modules" found in ~/Library/Preferences/Citrix ICA Client/.
Look for this string:
"VirtualDriver=Thinwire3.0, ClientDrive, ClientAudio, ClientPrinter, Clipboard, ClientManagement, ClientComm, ZL_FONT, ZLC, TWI, ICACTL,"
and remove the word "Smartcard" at the end.

It would be nice if Citrix finally recognized that their client is running on a Mac and introduced some basic Mac functionality such as command-q to quit. They should also get rid of the ridiculous Windows-style "are you sure" dialog when you attempt to log off - a dialog that cancels any attempt to restart or log out if you aren't there to click OK (even Microsoft did this when in their RDC app).

this baby is maturing nicely! for the first time mac users in large environments (with 10,000+ pc's but only 100 macs) can enjoy full functionality of mission critical applications.
MacBook/10.4.7 - the window that the client opens is small, roughly 1/4 of my screen, and nothing I do (on either the mac side or the windows side) increases the size. (As opposed to using the windows client on a windows machine which makes the entire screen available.) This makes the client of little use to me. If anyone else has experienced this issue and knows of a solution I'd be happy to hear of it.
I don't know if you're the Citrix admin or not, but the Mac client picks up the settings of the published application inside Citrix -- and the default is a tiny 640x480. It can be changed in those settings. It won't affect Windows (ICA32) users as those default to using Seamless Windows which ignores the published application settings.
