Cantrip is a client for connecting to Multi-User Dungeons/Domains/Dimensions, otherwise known as MUDs. MUDs are, put simply, online multiplayer text-based adventure games. There are hundreds of MUDs that one can play, most of which for free. If you would like to try one out, check out The Mud Connector.
If you would like to help out with the production of Cantrip in any way, just send an email to the developer.
Does anyone still have access to this source. I can't find it anywhere. Please contact me toddinsb@cox.net if you do. Thanks!

http://www.rapscallion.co.uk/ Rapscallion's source is available. I am considering starting a sourceforge project for it. I really really liked Cantrip's perl support. That would be a nice hack onto Rapscallion and get rid of it's custom scripting language. If you're interested email me at foobar@mephit.kicks-ass.org

Unfortunately, nothing compared to Rapscallion. That said, MudWalker is the best client I've used on OS X by far.

Even if it is "dead" it still beats the alternatives out there. I've tried all the others, and none of them come close to Cantrip. It has the occasional glitch, but is overally pretty stable. About the only thing that you could call better is TinyFugue, which you kind of have to love the shell to like.

Been over a year since anything has be worked on. The only thing done by the developer in this time is change where to look for the perl dirs so it would work on Panther. It's pretty much another dead mac client, big surprise.

Site appears to be down ... is it coming back? I think Cantrip is simple and great. Now I'm without a copy. Is the developer out there?

Download this app. It owns. That's all I have to say.

Cantrip, although my favorite MUD client, does not yet work on Panther. Wait until the developer can fix it.

Well, I just tried it out. Its nice. Very nice color control, though the default color settings are jank. Used it through a software router running on Windows XP. Believe it or not, it held up just fine.
I just wanted a replacement for ZMUD. This seems stable, nice, readable, and well-layed-out.

Same here. Been using cantrip for a few years now. Still waiting for the developer to update it to work with Panther. But I'm a bit skeptical as the last update was done back in January this year..

I wish the automapper was comparable with ZMud's... I hate using Virtual PC...
