If you to the SilverCreator forums, you can download a beta version of SilverCreator 1.6. It's a lot nicer looking than 1.5

This is a great creator for beginners. There are plenty of things you can do with it and best of all, it's free!

Stay tuned! It may seem like SilverCreator is in the dustbin, but the developer is currently making a lot of changes. I am one of the ones with a beta version of the new v1.5, and it's way better than this.

What is SilverCreator?
SilverCreator is a card-based game maker. It is somewhat simple, but it cannot make super advaced games. It is a game maker for people who just use they're computer for fun. If you are trying to make a somewhat fun game (like a mario clone) then it can get a little bit difficult. You will have to learn this easy to use scripting language with easy commands such as print or clear.

Why should I download SilverCreator?
SilverCreator is just for fun, not really for making games. It mainly, gives you something fun to do and show off to your freinds.

What are "Cards"?
Think of cards as, well a deck of cards. Each card may have a button on it. you click a button and it may take you to another card.

What are "Sprites"?
No its not the stuff you drink, it is basically a a picture that moves. You can tell it to move using the "Y" and "X" variables.

What is a "Script"
A script is the programming of your card. you can make a script by clicking "Game Setup" on the little palette with you fill bucket and stuff. then going to "Advanced Options" pick your action that your script will start at. Script away! Example: Under "Advanced Options" select "Open Card". A window will pop up. In the text box type: print "Hello World!!!" then click okay, then again in the other window. Go to "Special" on your menu bar and then go to "Run Game". Or you can just press ? + R. (Command "R") Your game should have Hello World!!! in the text box. (In the begining when you tell in new game, make sure you made it picture and text box!

Why i made such a long review?
I love SilverCreator and don't have a lot to do right now =-)

It's a nice little app there, but it does not really seem suitable for creating anything more glorious than Hypercard. That being said, This is a speedy (and simple-ish) way to do number crunching or create alogorythm testers for other games.
