MouseZoom is a prefpane which speeds up your mouse cursor movement in Mac OS X. As of version 2.0, the speed is set "live" without having to log out before it takes effect. To do this, MouseZoom uses the same method as Apple's mouse panel.
I just purchased the new Apple Magic Mouse and like many others, found that the tracking speed was terribly slow, even with the mouse tracking speed set to maximum. I tried the trick of bumping up the default tracking speed via the Terminal, and while that helped some, it really didn't do the trick, but MouseZoom did! Thanks for a great little utility that does exactly what it's supposed to do and fixes a piece of hardware Apple should never have released with its software not working properly.
Thanks so much for this. I have an Intel Mac and this thing works EXACTLY like it says. The mouse can become more than 5 TIMES faster as the system will normally allow.
I appreciate what you have done so much, but this software seems not to work for me. I just receive "preferences error" when I click it. I use a MBP with OSX 10.4.7, build 8j2135a
