From Macintouch reader Patrick T Kent:
I recently contacted Hisadonia the developers of NewNotePad Pro. I asked:
"Has Hisadonia stopped developing NewNotePad Pro? If not, can you please advise when we can expect native support of Intel Mac's and when a 64bit version will be released. It has been 6 years after all, since the version 2 release and 3 years since any updates at all."
Their reply:
I'm sorry for my delay in replying to you.
We currently have no plans to release the upgrade version of NewNOTEPAD Pro.

After the developer seems to have taken a long vacation - He has returned to give his app a bug fix and a single point increase. It's gone from 2.0 to 2.2.2 since 2003.

Its a great idea and while very un-mac-like ( Its a OS 8-9 left-over ) it deserves to be given the modern makeover and use Apple interface guidelines for OSX.

This seems to be more of a 'hobby' for the developer - Which is very sad for paying customers - so if you want to invest, bare this mind.

Decent piece of software, but check out MacJournal instead. Much more versatile, functional, and useful.

Still good as always.

Needs a Palm/iSync conduit though, so I can sync my notepad notes with notes on my cell phone, ipod, palm, whatever..

Hihihihi !!

coolest name ever .. nothing is actually "new" in this soft ... and "Pro" .. oh my! .. how come a notepad can be "pro" ?? it's just a notepad .
there are bunches of free alternatives .. lots of bunches..

Version 2.0.7 is great, version 2.0.8 will not start for some reason. I tried re-installing with the same results.....
