Since Jax was introduced, we saw a drastic shift in the market. Most of the "to go" features that were cool and popular years ago were now surpassed by technology of the iPod Touch and iPhone.
Sales for Jax became almost non-exhistent shortly thereafter and because of this, as a developer we had to reevaluate the product's feasibility.
I would invite you to contact our support team however, we do have a beta of Jax that has some fixes in place that might interest you (Jax also runs as a stand-alone app, not as an iTunes PlugIn which further helps its stability)...
As far as the other Joesoft products:
Klix continues to be sold and updated and continues to win awards for its ease-of-use and powerful abilities.
Stox continues to be sold and updated and will soon have a new update that adds some more features.
Hear continues to be sold and we just released a new version yesterday that addresses some of the bugs that we had with Snow Leopard. We are also looking at some other enhancements to Hear in the coming months as well-

i can't believe ProSoft has the nerve to still keep this on their website and charge $50 for it. i recommend avoiding Jax like the plague (personally i will avoid ALL "JoeSoft" software in the future). a lot of the functionality Jax provides is either now built into iTunes or is done better, faster and with more stability by cheaper or free software created by developers far more committed to their home-user level products.

On the down side there's just one point: For users in Europe the ON THE GO isn't of much use. Here is big space for improvement. But since I don't intend to buy an iPhone in the next 12 months this is just a hint to the developer.

Yes, some of the features of Jax are included with the iPhone, however there are other features currently that are not supported solely by the iPhone. Music Map and additional visualizers with scrolling lyrics are just two of the most popular features of Jax that people have been excited about (those features are used in iTunes, not on your iPhone).
Also, as you know, you can check out YouTube videos "live" on your iPhone as long as you have a signal (the iPhone doesn't currently store them on your phone). That's great for YouTube videos and for when you have a signal.. However, Jax allows you to download AND store many video files onto your iPhone (video iPod, AppleTV or iTunes).
You can load YouTube videos of course, but Jax also supports Yahoo videos, Ebaumsworld videos, Google videos, MySpace videos, College Humor, Veoh, Uber.com as well as some of the more adult-themed video sites as well (so many people ask, so we do indeed mention it, although not in our official marketing). Jax also allows you to import your own home movies (AVI or QT format) into iTunes which also allows you to send them to your video iPod, Apple TV, and iPhone. You're able to load up many different videos from many different sources, which is something the iPhone doesn't do on its own.
Jax really does have a lot of features and we'll be adding more as well. One thing to remember about Jax is that it is an open-api app (similar to widgets in theory) and we will be posting the API within the next month so that individuals may post additional features to add.
cheers~!

But now all of that has been trumped...I got an iPhone. Sorry, no need for Jax here.
