Batches is an AppleScript droplet with an extensible plugin architecture. Included action plugins can rename your MP3s with iTunes, post files to the usenet with MT-NewsWatcher, and make movie preview images with QuickTime Pro. You can move, copy, lock, and change creator types of files with the Finder, and more! Using the screen plugins, you can selectively process your files by file name, audio/video codec, creation date, etc. Each time a new plugin is added, it adds to the functionality of the droplet.
Version 1.1 adds the following:
The exit dialog now dismisses itself quietly if no one is around, instead of producing an error. Dropped files are processed alphabetically. Create Movie Preview Image plugin no longer produces a jpeg with an OS 9 Picture Viewer creator type. And two new QuickTime plugins were added.
- Batches 'should' work with OS 9, but is developed and tested on OS X 10.1.5. It is recommended that you use OS X 10.1.5+ for best results. Some plugins require the use of outside applications like MT-NewsWatcher. Obviously, you will need the application for that plugin to function.*Previously available here
