MOX Optimize is an application that allows you with some simple clicks to accelerate Mac OS X. Once you register you will also get a database of hints, information and tips for accelerating your use of Mac Os X. From optimizations of the Graphical User Interface to tips on using the Unix commands, the database covers many topics for beginners, intermediate and advanced users.

What's New

Version 2.1.2: MOX Optimize installs and launches under Panther without any noticeable problem. Some graphical glitches have been noticed but will be corrected in a future, free update. If you discover any problem with Panther, please contact us.

After installing and running the Apppp I had applications in 5 different locations on my harddisk + 1 preference file & 1 preferencepane. It started with an optimization that I specifically asked him not to de after which the screen of my G4-12" turned bleuisch, and I'm still trying to regain control over my bleutooth, and over my airport card. USE WITH CAUTION...or better ...don't use at all !

Mac os X now flies on my older imac 350 mhz. It is true that I don't use many extensions and am not on a network, so I could disable a lot of built in functions with this app. That made a big difference.
Sometimes it's difficult to understand what the application will do because it is somewhat technical in its explanations.

Use with caution. I had to reinstall Dreamweaver MX due to missing resource files, after running this.

After running this app, all my other apps take 30 seconds or more to open. I would not recommend this app to anyone.

This app has been on this machine since I've owned it and I'd like to know how to get rid of it. The installer no longer opens. It has screwed up my bluetooth - Tony Austin

When I ran it and restarted my laptop G3, I really felt the speed improvement when running multiple applications at once. Speed might not be visible on faster Macs like G4s but would be really useful to G3 owners. Good stuff.....
